That is to say how high brow do I get and how low brow do I go . Being born and an early childhood in NYC yet growing up in Pa country I think I got a varied exposure of ' brows ' . I find it interesting that I am drawn to this 'pin up ' culture ' which seems to me as being a cross roads of sorts between high and low but not really a middle ground , a mix of tasteful fashions of the 40's 50's and punk new wave attitudes [ such as tattoos ] . I guess my lowbrow-ness is due to rock n roll…Continue

Never you mind that everything I picked is either "coming soon" or "sold out"... I want what I want. And this is a fictional thing for me anyway ;).…Continue

You know, sometimes I'm dumb. I ascribe this mostly to the fact that as the Supreme Overlord of PUG, after 15 years I have gotten to the point that I don't really "work" in the same sense that I used to. I've gone from being the only person in the business, responsible for doing everything, thinking about everything, and anticipating everything, to being the Supervisor of the business, supported by many amazing people who do things, think about things, and…Continue
"We're gonna have a problem here..."
Oh dear. It seems I have gone and purchased multiples of a few items recently. I think I may have a problem!
It started with the black Jessica, I adore my lipstick red version so much. I wore it for a coffee "date" and the poor gentleman couldn't get that look off his face.
Last month I took a chance and ordered the red harlequin print Jenny dress. Due to my odd-ish size (39-31-39) it's hard for me to not…Continue
Man, I don't know what took me so long to get onto this train since I have a love for all things leopard, but I need to have the matching Deadly Dames vamp top and cigarette pants.
Since they are kind of an old item (they've been there since I discovered PUG back a few years ago to say the least),…Continue
So, this is another adventure from our personal blog, Junebugs and Georgia Peaches but if you ever wondered what it'd be like to run from stranger danger in a full skirt or full skirt-ed dress... here's a story!
A couple of weekends ago, I drove to Augusta, GA from Nashville, TN to visit my best friend and, amount other things, announce a pinup contest! We were especially excited because it seemed like a lot…Continue
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a novel written by Stephan Chobosky, This book (turned into film in 2012) is about a mentally unstable teenager named 'Charlie'. He describes various life experiences through a series of letters to an anonymous stranger. Set in the early 1990s, the story follows Charlie through his freshman year of high school in a Pittsburgh suburb.
This film shows the understanding of wanting to belong, But also taught me…
For me, it all starts with the movie White Christmas.
This is the best picture I could find of my favorite outfit on Vera Ellen.…Continue
I’m not a jealous person, usually. I feel like it’s at the top of the list of useless/harmful emotions. But sometimes I get jealous. Today I did. When I do, I feel the most important thing to do is ask myself *why*-
So today, I was on the intertubes and I ran across a blog run by a woman who paints, cooks, sews, etc. She documents her life. And as I was scrolling through her images, I felt it - this weird sinking feeling in my gut. Then I heard it - my inner voice, and it was…Continue
