Hello All!

Hello Ladies, I love this lifestyle, I fell out of it for a short while due to a bad depression, however, Im back! Day 3 of putting on my face and dressing like a lady, my house has never been cleaner and my family has never been happier, Ive found that I have a real passion for all things retro and vintage.... Im inspired by classic cars, vintage suitcases, canned ham travel trailers, seamed stockings, red lipstick, all the beauty of the 40s and 50s is my happy place! I realized as a mom, I…

It's been a while....

I realise that it's been waaaaay too long since I've logged on here.
So much has happened, I've travelled a little bit, bought a whole load of new clothes and missed PUG tremendously!
So I endeavour to get some new photos on, update my page and re connect with PUG!
That's my promise ☺️

Work clothes

So seen as though I'm at work ALL day everyday and I usually just have something smart on I decided a while back that I needed to get myself PUG'd up for work.
But here's my difficulty, what do you wear to an office job? It's has to be smart, not too revealing and I work for the NHS so I can't have anything which may raise eyebrows, so no patterns as such.
Anyone any ideas?

Soda Pop Shop & Dresslink.com

I just wouldn't be a Retro-Girl without some reference of the 'Classic Old Soda Pop Shops' adorned  in my kitchen. I purchased this nostalgic 1000 piece puzzle from my part-time (Hallmark). We tend to get in quite a few Coca-Cola themed puzzles from time to time, but this one…

Pin Up! The Movie

Hello all:

I'm working on an interactive documentary (film and online) which will be the first ever look at modern pin up culture, and I'm seeking some backing on my Kickstarter page. The project is super fun and on Kickstarter we have some great premiums, including below retail prices on shoots with Donigan Artworks (including guaranteed publication in Delicious Dolls magazine) and Mitzi & Co. Photography.

We also have…

An Evening with Lana

YAY! FINALLY got an evening out with Lana! After two months of waiting to pick my packages up from my USAddress, I finally got to take her for a twirl. This was one of those last second impulse "throw it in the Cart" from the PUG Online Yard Sale.

I LOVE how Lana makes me feel and the fit is so perfect. When I bought her I thought "oh the perfect summer dress to go anywhere." But honestly I had difficulty dressing her down, she looks so glamourous…

Faded Glory

It seems of late that my interest in 'dressing up ' has come to fade . Exploring the feminine image of myself , the posing ,modeling , preening 'acting' , I mean I spent allot of artistic time and energy with cameras and mirrors , working to ensure I got it, it was all fun, elating  and exciting , mall walking, a stroll in town and parks . It was daring [darling :-) ]  and bold , yet I always kept a calm and it was a dream , a charm even when it was a bit dangerous . And amazing myself…

Weight loss and a dislocated toe

So, I have lost 68 pounds since December 16th. It was not intentional, but I am glad for the result. I am currently 287 pounds (you can do the math if you want), and my soft goal is to get to 220. After being 300 plus, the idea of being low 200 is a little shocking. What I am dealing with right now is adjusting to the distribution of weight. Weird how I find myself hunched over if I'm not wearing heels. I can't wear heels right now because I am recovering after dislocating my next to baby toe,… Continue

How Pin-ups Changed the Seduction Game

It does not matter what the moralists have to say or what pretty much everyone wanted to play down in the past – sexuality is a huge part of our lives, always has been and always will be. And one of the most pleasurable aspects of human sexuality, for women and men alike, has always been the seduction game which enabled women to break free of their social shackles and show their strength.

There can be no doubt that pin-up art and pin-up girls played a huge role in molding of what is…

Waist Training and Rago Shapewear

Hello Darlings~

First and foremost it feels soooo good to finally be composing my entries on a keyboard again!! Yes I broke down sooner than expected and purchased a  PC (rather than a Laptop or Notebook) and currently I using my Crosley TV as my Monitor (via a VGA cable). I'm really liking the concept of using my Retro inspired TV as a Monitor and may just keep it this way for the time being.…

The Magical Mystery of Monica...How Monica helped change my life.

I know, I know every PUGster raves about the Monica dress. But I thought I'd share the mystery of this dress and it's impact in my life to add to the inspiration.

Four years ago I had a bad fall, injured my hip, gained weight through long recovery, and became depressed to the point of not even wanting to get out of my pyjama's. I was lost in a funky fog and didn't recognize myself in the mirror anymore. Any sense of identity was blurred away with the growing 70+ pound layers of…

Move That Body (yoga & Abs)

Hello Lovelies,

I started a little group on facebook after a few of my friends asked me to share with them how I lost all my weight.  My depression got the best of me and I got pretty voluptuous some may say the more the better, but I felt miserable in my own body. So I finally decided to do something about it and I got up off my butt and moved my body.  I started to make better food choices and made water my best friend, worked out at least 20 minutes every day and started…
