I have had the Doris top in white for some time.  I wanted to love it, I really did!  But I found it so hard to wear.   Tried it with a cami and wasn't crazy about the look.  However, without one, It's so lowcut it's bordering on obscene.  So when I had a dress that was too big for me and was offered the red Doris as a swap, I was dubious.  Apparently, it had a shrunk a bit after laundering and was now too small.  She felt strongly it would fit me.  Now my white Doris is an XS and the red is a S but it had shrunk so I decided to give it a go.

How pleased am I that I did??? I LOVE it!!! It could not fit better. I finally get what all the hype is about!   It is still lowcut enough to give a nice décolletage but not so much that I'm constantly tugging to keep the girls out of sight.  I wore it out on Friday night and couldn't have been happier.  It never had to be tugged even once.  Asked my dear swap friend, if I was giving anyone a show she assured me I was not.

So why would a bigger size slightly shrunk work so much better for me?  Well, I'm not sure but the fabric is thicker in the red than the white.  So it stays in place better.  I also found that the collar which has a tendency to curl on the white does not on the red.  Once again, attributable to the thicker material I suspect.

I now see what all the hype is about and want more colours.  I am torn what size to buy.  The Red fits pretty much like the White.  The shoulders and arms are slightly larger in the Red but the waist and chest are pretty much identical.  And, interestingly, I get a bit of a "hump"  around my shoulders in the White but not in the Red. But the biggest difference is how high it sits on the chest.  Perhaps, I could buy a Black in S and see if I can't give it a little shrink. ;)
