I haven't watched Micheline's tutorial (sorry Micheline) so forgive me if I am repeating what she's already said.

Looking at your coloring, I would suggest a med brown or charcoal eyebrow pencil. When you get the hang of things, if you want to try something bold & fun, go with a colored liner that actually matches your hair color.

Line the pencil along the side of your nose in an upward position....this is ideally where you want your brow to start. Make a small mark so you can go back and begin your fill in. Do this for both of your brows.

I have very sparse brows and my concern is trying to still make them look "natural" and not simply drawn on. To do this, I constantly keep my pencil sharp, drawing individual hairs in an upward motion. It's always good to keep a q-tip handy to "erase" anything that appears uneven. Using the brush attached to most brow pencils also helps blend them in giving them a more natural look.

Do a quick google search to find what shape is best for your face shape and what look you are trying to achieve. I like a slight arch, so I basically lightly draw a light baseline from my inner brow to where I want my arch to peak. Blend upward. Next work on the downward side of the arch continuing to blend.

Don't be afraid to pull out to the q-tip and remove any mistakes and re-apply. Finally, a ver light neutral shade of whie, pearl, nude etc. just under the brow will open your eyes up.

Practice, practice, practice! You'll get the hang of it. :)

Thank you! There are a couple new things here I need to try. I really hope they work! Honestly, I'm about to give it up as a bad job if I can't make some improvement soon... everything I've done so far just looks horrendous, and I'm not as strong a believer in the "brows make the face" theory.

Your brows don't need to match your exactly.Try using a brow powder duo. Shade the 2nd half of your brows 1st use the left over product on the inner brow. Good Luck.

I just found this great post on FB yesterday!
Eyebrow Tutorial

1) Outline the bottom with eyebrow pencil of your choice

2) Outline the top

3) Fill in leaving the inner part little bit blank

4) Using an angled brush fill in with a matching Matte eyeshadow

5) Remove excess of product on your brush and brushing upwards gently fill in the blank spot for a “natural look” (or use a clean mascara wand to brush out your eye brows and get rid of excess product)

6) Using a concealer brush clean the edges with a little bit of concealer

7) Blend in the concealer and you’re done! ;)

I used to buy stencils. Most come with a brow powder. Until I became more comfortable drawing them in just like the picture above, stencils were my go to. They have some sets that give you a few different shapes. One of the stencils I have is a classic brow that is more rounded. Hope this helps!

The concealer bit of this is a godsend and I honestly get more compliments when I do just these exact things rather than anything else! I have sparse eyebrows and filling them in takes a lot of getting used to, that might also be part of it? Do you have a benefit brow bar near you, cause you can also have them fill them for you for free and they teach you all the tricks :)

I have actually found a product I really like, Amazon Eyes brow mousse by Tarte. It comes with a great little brush and I have a lot of control over how thick the fill in is :)
