I have watched/read several tutorials (including Micheline's) and tried several times to draw my eyebrows in, but they always end up looking awful. My brows are naturally somewhat thick, but not…Continue

Hi ladies, I recently lost a full bottle of nail polish in my make up bag whilst travelling (it got smashed), I managed to rescue most of the other contents, the lining of the bag has had it, fairly…Continue

Hi everyone. I fell in love with the retro/pin up style a few years ago, but have only recently been beginning to adopt that into my own wardrobe. And up until now, I'd shied away from red…Continue
Comment by Maureen Bradley-Andrews on July 2, 2012 at 8:18am I bought the Besame Violet powder. Was wondering what others thought of it. I haven't decided if I see a difference or not.

Comment by Alyssa Whitham on July 3, 2012 at 5:01pm I'm a redhead & usually when I wear lipstick I feel like I look like my mum! Needless to say I don't often wear it, however I have recently found and fallen in love with Revlon lip butter in colourburst.
Is there any other redheads out their with lipsticks they can recomemnd?

Comment by Ali Williams on July 17, 2012 at 8:12am I just started a blog called Bouffants and Beehives. On it I talk about vintage hair and makeup. There are lots of resources too. Check it out! www.bouffantsandbeehives.com
Comment by Jessica Catterson on August 6, 2012 at 1:08pm I seriously need eye make up help! I can't find or at least I don't think I can, the right "eye" look.
Comment by Leanna Bruce on August 7, 2012 at 1:12pm What eye make up help do you need?
Comment by Ruby duVin on August 16, 2012 at 11:02pm @Alyssa, I have red auburn hair, and I go for full on red. I think corals would be lovely on you, especially the Besame Carmine. Try the regular Revlon Colorburst in Coral - it is quite lovely. I actually never use mine, I could sanitize it and ship it to you if you would like to try it. Just sits in my drawer.
Comment by Miss-Trisha Hunter on October 10, 2012 at 5:08am I jsut got the hair book. Anyone else have it and use it. What do you think? Are there better resources for styles? I love to wear them but some of them are a little more outlandish than I can get away with at work
Comment by Soozi Qu on October 10, 2012 at 1:43pm I have the hair book and also the beauty book. Don't waste your money on the beauty book! Unless the 1920s and 30s makeup really interests you and you intend to wear it out.
I liked the book when I bought it but have to admit that most of the hairstyles I do are from Youtube videos rather than from the book.
