I find my thick hair is a bit hard to control. Any tips on how to keep my rolls looking victorious?

No tips, but I'm gonna join in case someone else can help. I've tried for hours and hours and just can NOT get the victory roles down pack. I had my hair at my wait and recently cut it just below my shoulders and thought it would be easier now, but my hair is so thick no luck yet.

Backcombing!!! Keeps the hair together and makes it easier to work with. I have long, thick hair. If I can do it, anyone can. Also, a good pomade is great at keeping the hair together!

Thanks for the tips! It works wonders =]

I have super thick and curly hair also, it's a monster. Backcombing helps a ton! As well as smoothing it with pomade, when I roll, I backcomb, and while my hair is all crazy put a small amount of pomade in your palms and smooth it over the hair, you'll be rolling like a pro!!!

Your hair does look gorgeous!

Yes, the answer is a good teasing brush and POMADE!!! I initially used layrite since thats what my hubby used then....and well it was to strong for me. It made my hair look awful. Until one day my wonderful hairdresser Tara Alexander introduced Darn gone cute pomade, made especially keeping women in mind. and it smells amazing! Here is the link if anyone is interested  http://www.etsy.com/listing/46081563/darn-gone-cute-ladiesgirl-pomade

Also use hairspray and a toothbrush to comb out fly a ways. ( i absolutely hate them) ...lol.....You can also use a blow dryer to keep everything in place after spraying some hairspray.

p.s keep in mind that there is different kind of victory rolls as well. Hoping everything made sense.

Thanks a ton! Great tips.
