Hi Melissa 

Not sure what side of Brisbane your on I took my Mon Cheri Dress to 

Needle and Pins , shop 1 Cnr Logan and Harris Rd , Underwood Ph 07 3219 7294

The lady there was awesome basically the top part of the dress was to big and hung to low so she and to re-construct and "lifted" it by about two inches , removed and re-apply the sleeves cant tell that its been done at all I need to go back with some other things that need altering 

She would be worth paying a visit : )

Ana @ Altered to fit did a great job of altering my wedding dress last week (17 days to go). There wasn't much that needed doing just bringing in from below the bust down to the waist via the back zipper so fits amazing on the bodice and flounces out nicely from the waist down :)

Thanks Tania! That's exactly the problem that I have with my mon cheri dress! Great to hear that she did such a great job with yours! I'm on the northside, but it would definitely be worth the visit!

No worries from memory $30-$35 ... no idea if thats the norm but I was very happy with the result :)

That's an excellent price! I went somewhere recently and they charged me around $55 and I wasn't very happy witht the result. Looks like I'll be heading out to Underwood! :) Thanks again

That is a fantastic price for the work she did! Some places would charge that for altering a hem :S

Hi,  I'm on the Northside and have found a great person, she's an older woman who has been doing alterations/tailoring her entire working life.  Very reasonably priced, but very busy and works reduced hours (but if you need something quickly she is very good).  Really good quality work.  She is in Margate at Redcliffe - I'm not sure if she would be even in the phone book.  Flick me an email if you want more info - I'd have to drive down and check out the address and phone number for you if you are interested.  Redcliffe might be too far north!
