Hey Everyone!! I'm VERY VERY new to the PUG looks but I've admired them for a long time. I only have 1 dress that was made from scratch and designed by combining elements from a lot of dresses I liked.

Anyway, I ended up having to go to a salon because I couldn't get a victory roll for the life of me. I was very curly, spirally hair. Think Bernadette Peters. I think it's a bit too curly to leave it natural and pull off a pin up look. I've tried using flowers but it makes me look 80's ish. Therefore, I'd have to blow dry my hair to even attempt any look and it won't be doable on a regular basis. Any suggestions on what to do with my hair day-to-day that is a little pin-up inspired??

As in a comb to leave in at the top of my head??

lmao... that was funny!! there are a ton of very cute little flowers/bows/etc "combs/bobby pins" at forever 21 - was just there today and they had a bunch of cute ones! or you can make your own... alligator (aka jaw) clips from michael's plus flower/pin/whatever = hair ornament!

I agree with Sarah! And a plus in having curly hair is that u have all that added volume. That in my case, Is so difficult to achieve, since my hair is fine and straight......

I'm in the same boat as you, Joanna. My hair is also very curly, so thank you for posting this discussion...I was just about to do the same, lol.
I usually pull my hair into a bun, straighten my bangs and add a flower. (but I want to be able to do more!)

Cool. Thanks everyone!! And Bianca, I'm glad I'm not alone in this.

Angelique Noire actually has a cute hair tutorial that I found on this site, with bumper bangs and (I don't remember the rest of the 'do's name! oops, sorry angelique, but I loved the tutorial!)... anyway, it was quick easy and she didn't straighten out her naturally curly hair (ala berndadette peters). Check it out... it may help!
