I have decided to take the plunge and order my first corset. I have decided on a What Katie Did corset but need help deciding. I have contact WKD & they gave me lots of info but didn't make a specific recommendation.

So I have what they call a 'modern' figure - I have less than 10" between waist & hips. So the morticia is out. I am torn between Mae, Gina & baby. Mae looks like it might be quite long, which is a plus because it will hold in my tummy but a negetive because it doesn't look like its comfy to sit in & I would like to wear it to work. But then my torso measures 16" from underbust to crotch so the Gina might be a better option as its shorter though it still looks like it might be on my hips, but it doesn't have gored hips (is that important?). But then the baby looks like a good option too.... I think my head is exploding!

If you have any experience with any of these corsets please let me know what you think!

I don't yet have any What Katie Did corsets. I can tell you though that I totally trust the gals in the What Katie Did store in Hollywood. But you may want to take a gander at the What Katie Did Forum. I am a regular poster and visitor there and I find it extremely helpful:

I can't get to the US site - I keep getting directed to UK (I'm in Aust) but I have started trawling the forums, thanks!

I might be leaning towards the baby..

A corset is a big step if you have never worn one. Also you need to factor in what you plan to wear it with because corest material is quite thick and bulky. Naturally they work wonders under the thick fabric of a weeding gown but for under a thin fabric dress or blouse you will be diappointed by the look because the corset will be apparent under the flimsy fabric (that is unless you wan tit to be visible.

Rago makes a wonderful waist cincher that I would recommend or some of the full girdles Rago offers will give you lovely shaping.

Yes that would be great if you could measure to compare. Also I want to wear it to work, do you sit in yours for long periods?

ok, going with the Gina! will post pics when it arrives
