Greetings Gorgeous Gals!

First off, welcome to all of our new members. This group is really starting to grow, how exciting is that? Most of the members seem to be located in and around the Los Angeles area, which means we must meet up.

Once the group reaches 100+ members, I would love to finally set up a meet up event.I would love to include a day of shopping at PUG then heading over to a nearby spot for drinks and food. Does this sound like something you ladies would be interested in? Do you have other meet up ideas?
If so, please voice your opinions.

Personally, I am up for anything. I love to shop, eat, mingle, and sip on delicious drinks. :)

"...hope for the best, expect nothing and enjoy the music and cocktails." --> what a great attitude! I may copy that.

Sooooo, if this is indoors, I am having hard time visualizing how there'll be an orchestra and food and drinks and madness all at the same time.

Or is it not indoors?

Last year it was indoors in a large conference sized room with a small stage/band on one side, the racks separated by size against the wall, shoes/accessories in another section, large tent /changing room against another wall. We would line up for the tent to try things on and then line up for the cash register or continue shopping. Most people are very civil and friendly. There is definitely no tug of war because nobody wants to mess up the clothes. They have PLENTY of stuff, you'll find something for you regardless of when u arrive. I've been to two sales, arrived late, but I've gotten dresses (casual and formal), swim suits, purses, and separates. This time it's in a larger location so you shouldn't have a pproblem finding something. =)

I am so excited, I'm having a hell of a time deciding what to wear, lol (yes, I know, something easy to take on and off, but I want to wear my petticoat so I can use it if needed for tryons)... ok, martini glass on the name tag - got it. And I now have red hair (check the profile pic), so if you see me, please please please come up and intro yourself!!! I'm also shy, and the range of beauty is intimidating, but I'll try to be a little more outgoing (just let me get a couple of drinks down first). lol, as far as the commute, I'm coming in from the SGV, and taking advantage of the $10 metrolink weekend pass, which will let me connect via RedLine & bus without additional fare, so that's awesome. I won't be there til about 1030ish, just because the first train out of my town doesn't leave until 757am.

See ya'll there!!!

Jenn =)

Natalie, thanks for explaining where and how it goes. Finally I have a clearer picture now in my mind.

Double O Jenn, you're so cute and right about wearing something to take on and off easily. I didn't think what I'd wear till this moment and am afraid, I might be wearing just some black tights and a crop top as I am heading to a 2.5 hr dance workshop afterwards. Also maybe teaching before....

Soo, unless I am teaching earlier, I'll be there for a while.

I am not shy at all. I won't bite your arm off either. Please do come and say Hi. You can't miss me due to blonde streak on the left side.

If I see the martini glass on you, I will definitely say Hi! :)

I'll see everyone there! If you see me please say hi!

Did you all go????????

After seeing the picture of the line and the comments that the racks were bar at 9:30 am, I backed of out of this.

Not my thing, sorry. Now I will keep watching Swap&Sell group and ebay as well as PUG;s own sales.

But then the question is when will we all meet up some time????????????

I did the same thing, Nilay... about 10mins after you left, I'm guessing. Walked through twice, barely. Finally ordered a drink (it was 1030, so noon on the east coast, lol) and then left. Disappointed, because by the time I got there, the racks were completely cleaned off (give or take). I don't think I was there for an hour. *sigh* I'm with you... Swap & Sell, ebay, etc. Definitely not my thing...

(and I just re-read your response and realized that you didn't go, but where did you hear about how it was??).

But indeed, we all do need to meet up sometime soon. So, what type of work (so we can guess days off) does everyone do/what are everyone's regular days off???

Mine change week to week. I can request a partial day off as long as it's two weeks prior, but requesting any weekend days is out for me because it's the holidays and I work retail (we just went blackout).

I went. But I did not get there til 12:30. I bought a couple of dresses and a pair of shoes.. The items were not cheap but lower than retail. The dresses were $60 each. But they do look great.

When I got there it was quite manageable crowd wise. The only line I waited in was to pay and that took about 10 minutes or so.

My only disappointment was that I did not see any of my PUG friends. Oh well... Next time?

You got there right after they restocked. I wasn't going to wait, I'm so sorry... But glad you got what you liked!!

Aoife, can't wait to see the pictures of new treasures!!! Pose in them for us! I am so excited about people who can have good pictures taken. Yours are so good.

Double O, was your drink good at least? ;) I heard about the situation of the yard sale from the facebook invitation page. People were posting pictures of the line to get in at 7 am, the picture from inside the warehouse when it was like a sardines in a can and they commented how the racks were empty at 9:30 am....

Oh, I did go to BeWell Expo at LA Convention Center. Next year we must meet there for sure. I could have used a few girlfriends to run around with in there today. They have everything related to beauty and wellness form skincare, makeup, anti-aging to nutrition, exercise and spa products and services. The tickets were super-reasonable ($25).

I, unfortunately, had to leave my house @ 7am in order to get there by the 10am that I did (2.5hr commute in from the SGV because I don't have a car); I wish I had thought to look, I would've gone back to bed and just gone on from home to my date... Which was far better than going to the yardsale (and for a 1st date, that is awesome!)!

The BeWell sounds like a lot of fun and interesting info, which I can always use. Definitely sounds good for next year!

Auburn, I may have glimpsed you as I was checking out. Were you with your husband? If so, was he wearing baggy shorts? Oh well, it was not the best place in the world for a meet up. Now we have got to figure out some place where we can actually meet and actually talk to each other.
