With only a little over a month to go 'til Halloween, it's time to start (or for some of us, continue) to think about costumes! I was never one of those kids that was super psyched about Halloween... I always got sick right before and couldn't go out trick or treating, so I just got used to not celebrating it. It wasn't until I hit my mid-20's that I started to get excited for it. I work in retail out in front of customers so I can't go too crazy with my everyday look, but I LOVE getting dressed up and creating a new persona when I can. So naturally, Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. It doesn't hurt that most of my friends now are either costumers or cosplay artists, so there is no such thing as going overboard. Last year was the first year that I incorporated PUG into my costumes. I originally bought my Red Heidi dress for a pin-up outfit that never happened, but I fell in love with the dress for everyday use, and thus began my love for PUG. I've seen a lot of ladies comment on what PUG dresses they'll be using for their pin-up costumes, but for me, I've used my PUG dresses not as a pin-up costume, but for a different take on a character or idea. I'd rather take an amazing dress that I would wear to events as a 'normal' dress and make it work as a costume than to buy a cheap costume that I'll never wear again. Not to mention, the higher quality means that it'll be warmer than a thin, cheap costume, something this born in New England gal appreciates.
I also opted to dress up that year for work. I kept it simple with my Red Heidi dress, a white belt, some red & white striped tights, and a candy swirl fascinator I made. Easy, it doesn't get in the way of things, but it's fun and the kids like it when someone dressed as candy gives them candy. Okay, they probably only cared about getting candy! As you can tell, my chihuahua-pug Chloe looks thrilled to be a part of this photo.

Love it all! I remember and adore the black widow outfit. :D
Really? Rad! You have a great eye for color, because the Grace makes a great Darth Maul outfit!
I'm a big fan of the candy costume! :)
and the grace dress looks awesome, I too am a giant star wars nerd and usually don't approve of the Sith's in general
but for a lose interpretation you did pretty good.
