Which color should I get? Help please!

Hi Gals!

I want to buy the Burana dress to wear to my dissertation defense this winter.  I think it will be a great dress for conferences and meetings while still being straight-up sexy.  However, I am torn about which color to buy.

I don't think I want the black or navy because I don't want it to look too funereal.  I am debating between the Green and the Plum.  Based on my coloring (very dark hair, somewhat fairish skin in the winter and green eyes) which color do you think I should get?  I attached a pic of myself for reference.

Thanks in advance for any advice!  I don't really have any fashionable girls to ask and my husband, while cute, doesn't really offer the best advice when it comes to gal clothes* ;)

*except the other night when he insisted I wear my green atomic print to a punk show instead of the Lolita dress.  Go figure
