Word. I started wearing stretchy cotton pencil skirts 2 years ago after failing to find any that could handle the 12" difference between my waist and hips, so that's pretty much all I'll go with now. Plus, those cotton ones tend to be real cheap, so when the waistband stretches out (which it will, cause its gotta make it past my hips first) I don't feel as bad about getting rid of/replacing it.

Yup when I first got my DD Stretch Twill Pants in Black I got a small and I was a little nervous to try them on because usually Im a medium in pants but I figured they were stretchy enough! So Im trying them on and hey I get them up to my calves, and then my thighs and then over my hips! Success or so I thought ...then I tired to zip them over my butt and it was NOT happening needless to say I sent them back and got mediums and they are perfect! So yes I feel your gloriously sexy pain ;).

I have the same hum... "problem" :  26/27" waist.... 38" hips. 

I wear a small on tops, full skirts and flared dresses but I sometimes need to size up for wiggle dress or pencil skirts/pants.

When I try "regular clothes" on it's always too big at the waist... oh lord ! That's one of the many reason I embrace the retro look... cause my figure is vintage and therefore that's the style that suits it best :).

I find it so silly how hard it can be to find clothing styled for vintagey bodies. Its not like all women up and lost their curves all of a sudden! Thank goodness for PUG and the like, or we'd have nothing to wear!!
