I have naturally very pale skin and suffer from acne. I am currently using Benefits foundation but still think that it is too yellow. I don't wear foundation every day but when I go out its nice to Wear it. I am in the UK so am limited to what is available here. Also I don't want to have to spend a fortune. Oh and I have oily skin. Any advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Aimee!

I have very pale skin as well (and hate wearing a heavy foundation)... I have been able to get a porcelain complexion with a simple combination of tinted moisturizer (Cover Girl CG Smoothers BB Cream (Formerly called "CG Smoothers") in "Fair to Light" (their lightest color) and Dermablend Cover Cream in "Rose Beige". The Dermablend is VERY heavy, but I simply use it to almost "sculpt" my face. After applying the tinted moisturizer, I use the Dermablend (sparingly) under the eyes, cheekbones, any blemishes... Because it's such a heavy product, a dab of tinted moisturizer on your finger helps blend it evenly. Then a light finish with a translucent powder. (I use Coty).

Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder

And for you, I'll even include photographic proof of this miracle concoction! ;) LOL!

Wow I didn't think anybody would be able to help  me! Your make up looks flawless, not 100% that I can get these things in the UK but I am going to try! I am going shopping Wednesday so will do some investigating then. You look stunning on this picture! x

Thank you sweetie! You should be able to order them online if not available in store. They are fairly common here in the US, but not sure what your availability is like in the UK. Good luck! <3

It's perfect!

Hello fellow pale person!

I am pale, pale, pale too; add to that the fact that I only use cruelty-free approved make up you'd think I'd have a hard time finding foundation - but I don't at all.  I swear by Urban Decay Naked Skin liquid foundation.  It's brilliantly build-able, and with the primers and setting sprays you should be able to find the perfect combination to make it last all day (I regularly get 16+ hours from mine).

It's £27 a bottle, but that lasts - like all UD stuff - forever (I think mines lasts ~4 months); and their synthetic foundation brush is sooooo soft too /p>

Hi Sammi!

Wow 16 hours really!?! That would be a miracle for me! I've never thought about Urban Decay, just because I don't think it has a stand in the local Debenhams! I am shopping on Wednesday so like I said to Tabitha I think I will be spending some time in Debenhams etc trying all these products out! I was just going to revert back to MAC but its soooo heavy!

Thanks for the advice sweetie! xx

No worries :)  If you have a House of Fraiser locally, they also stock UD, or both websites sell it.  I'm actually "recovering" from being on the pill for ~6 months (long story!!) - my hair and skin have been horrid, but my UD has stuck it out every day, especially once I started using the All Nighter spray.

If I hadn't have listed them on eBay already, I'd have happily offered you the samples etc that I have, there's a small AN spray, and also a foundation tester with a few shades in the "packet", plus some primer etc.  I can't do anything about the items with bids on, but if anything doesn't sell I'll happily include it in a parcel for you (I'm right in thinking you're in PUG Pals, right?!)

Oh Sammi that's so sweet! Yes I am thank you!

I have adult acne which has been caused by the pill, injection and implant. It has messed my hair and skin up completely so I know how you feel!

The only thing that I have found that calms my skin is BB Seaweed face mask from Lush. I use it just when my face looks red and swollen and angry and it seems to have a cooling calming affect.

So an update to this, I finally went into Debenhams and House of Fraser (our department stores in the UK) and had a look for foiundation.

Ive ended up with some Bobbi Brown cream type compact and finishing powder. I will post a picture as soon as I get home, but Im pretty happy with the results! Covers my acne and doesnt feel too think and lasts all day! Also dont need a concealer as the foundation does build up enough to cover.

Thank you for all your help ladies very much appreciated!

Now to find ther perfect shade of red lipstick!

So the first picture is natural brows. The second is with the left brow done. What I'm asking you ladies is some critic on it as I've never actually done my brows before I don't want to look silly. Continue
