I purchased the Ava in plum (http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/pinup-couture-ava-plum.html) to wear to a gala I was invited to for the hospital where I work.  The fabric is lovely - the shakira satin has a nice sheen to it - enough to dress it up, but not super shiny like regular satin.  I appreciated that.

Based on my waist measurement (30) I ordered the large.  It fit perfectly.  I used the You Tube tutorial video Michelline did in order to get the sash right. ;-)  The tulip skirt hit me (at 5'3") a couple inches below the knee.  This was fine with me - I prefer my skirts longer to shorter.  Not to mention with the tulip wrap skirt you show a bit of leg when you cross your legs so longer is better!

The only thing I had trouble with was the bust line - I was fussing with it alot - trying to keep the girls covered.  Because of the wrap front cut my left side stayed covered put but the right side kept trying to pop out.

I went easy on the accessories - I chose my grandmother's vintage rhinestone brooch for my hair and some rhinestone art deco looking earrings and a rhinestone bracelet.

I would highly recommend Ava to anyone going to a cocktail party, holiday party, wedding, or just out to a nice dinner.  Thank you PUG for making beautiful things!

Amber, do you mind me asking what your bust measurement is? I'm a little worried about having the same issue about the  ''girls'' being out of control in the top part of the Ava.. Thanks!

Not at all - my bust measures 38 inches.  Depending on the brand of bra I wear either a C or D cup (stupid bra sizing - the one that fits me best is a 34D).  I think part of the problem may have been that I was wearing a push up bra.   Most (ok every other) PUG dress I've bought - the bust is always too baggy for me in a size Large.

I wanted to add that I love how you wore your hair and accessorized your Ava, a beautiful classic look! :)

Thank you!
