Sharing a vintage inspired creation

Hello ladies! I just wanted to show off a shirt that i have recently made.....I saw a shirt online going through vintage pictures and decided I was going to try to make it...well needless to say six hours later I finished the shirt with a few modifications as I went along, so enjoy....and sorry about the mess in the background I had just gotten back from vacation on this day, so there was no time to clean while I was away haha!

Super Cute...Was it a shirt you modified??? Or did you make the whole thing???? Did you use an elastic around the neck line??? I love it

I made the whole shirt, I saw a picture of a shirt online and modified how it looked so it had a more original feel.......I sketched it out, made the pattern and then found some super soft cotton fabric at my grandmas and made the shirt ( I even sewed it together on my grandmas 1963 singer sewing machine) I love that machine better than my new one! I didn't use elastic but instead sewed in some darts to enhance my girlies and it happened to help keep it up so that the girlies didn't make a surprise appearance any where inappropriate.

I will have to see if I can get a few close up shots of the shirt and of the darts to show you.

That is super cute! I really love the addition of the darts. This makes me want to get out my pattern paper and go for it.

I keep forgetting to pick them up at the store but, I want to get little white bows to sew over the stitching at the top of the darts, just to hide to stitching and add a little girlie flair!
