Just wondering how many PUG girls have had to get things altered to fit properly and what if any things are difficult (or impossible) to be altered? I'm looking at the size charts and my waist is consistently a medium but my boobs a extra small/small. Just wondering how bust alterations have gone

I have to altered my clothes sometimes. But i also use shapewear and pushup to make things right lol

I just got 3 of my dresses back from alteration a few days ago.

According to my measurements, I was advised by customer service and also fans on the PUG's facebook page to order a size XL for 1 and a size 2XL for the other two.

They were all way too big...like extremely big. I got the L'Amour in pink chiffon overlay, the Evelyn in Pink and also the Courtesan Swing in Victorian Rose all taken in from top till bottom. I tried selling them but I am in AU and didn't get much interest. Shipping to US was too expensive. Alterations for all 3 cost me AUD$150 but I really wanted to wear the dresses.

The Courtesan Swing was the hardest to take in the bust as it had something like an in-built bra. The other two were easy.

I just got my 2nd order the other day (The Golightly Tipsy Elephant dress and also the Masuimi in Plum) and I got both in a size L. They both fit perfectly!!

I am not sure why even though my measurements are definitely a 2XL according to the website but the size L fits me perfectly. I love all their clothes and can't wait to order more!!

Good luck with your future purchases!!

I don't know if this will help or not, but whether it's PUG, modern, or true vintage, I almost ALWAYS have to have alterations done to my clothes - whether it's a hemming issue or shortening a top because it fits everywhere else but over my hips. Now, I just automatically calculate in my head the cost, plus shipping (if applicable) and the alterations. I am working on getting my own machine & dress form to do my own simple alterations (anything complicated I'm afraid I'll screw up!) so I can cut back on those costs, and put more into buying the item itself. I think to truly look put together and fantastic, you may have to do alterations, especially when you have a coke bottle figure with a large difference between waist and hips.

When I bought the Heidi Dress in leopard print I had it taken up a few inches so that it rested just above my knee. You see I think I'm a little shorter than Ms. Mayday in the picture on the website, and where her hemline was at her knee level, for me it was a few inches below my knees when I took the dress right out of the box.

A quick alteration from my friend later and the hemline is right where it is in the picture! :)
