Little Atomic Pieces of Awesome

A Touch of Mid-Century Amazing

Here's another carry-over post from the blog I co-write, Junebugs and Georgia Peaches.  Since these are items PUG carries, I thought it would be a great place to share.

The sweet people over at The Crave Yard were kind enough to send us each a few of these little scientifique atomique brooches.  We really love these because they are just the right size to wear alone or double (or triple) up and wear them all at once, no wonder they sell through so fast on Pinup Girl Clothing's website!
This is my co-blogger, Amelia, and she's wearing the Atomic Starburst brooch(es).  The Crave Yard offers a fun variety of brooches including multiple different styles and colors.  Specifically, these Atomic Starbust brooches are great, because they come in so many different colors, including limited edition red and green.  I styled these brooches in a cluster, but they are equally as stunning on their own.  When paired all together it's definitely a statement piece, which is why I paired it with a solid colored top.  This trio of colors all work well together, and are staple in my fun-loving atomic wardrobe.

I'm wearing the Galactique Brooch.  I've found these pieces to be really versatile and I've received a lot of compliments on these little minimalist pieces of atomic accessory awesome.  Also, they're very reasonably priced.  I paired the Galactique Brooch with one of my favorite Bernie Dexter dresses which has rockets on it!  It's really hot here so I'm rockin' the teased 60s ponytail, excuse the frizz.  This entire outfit sort of made me feel like a diner waitress... but in a good way!

You can purchase these little guys and other amazing wares through The Crave Yard's Etsy, their website or Pinup Girl Clothing.

Do you own a Crave Yard Brooch?  On a totally random note, what are you doing with you hair now that it's a million degrees outside?

Well, I am in love with those sweet little brooches, but even more in love with the atomic printed fabric in their Etsy store! I make my own circle skirts and I feel like I absolutely need that fabric. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, to answer your other question, I basically live in ponytails when it is hot outside... I make a poof at the front of my hair with my bangs and pull everything back. Occasionally I curl the ends of the pony. Hot weather is so hard for retro hair!
