….. Squirrel!

I have been waiting all summer for the opportunity to get my hands on the Squirrel Netti Print and was getting worries the opportunity may miss me by as the warm weather season in my area is quickly changing and snow is fast approaching here for us.

I really was enamoured by the print and the super cute Squirrels when I first saw a picture of this dress on the PUG site. As I am a reformed all black wearer I do still lean to and favour anything that has black on it so the combination of pink and black in this dress print was really up my alley.

This would be my first pink dress and all of my previous dresses have been in darker colour pallets so I was keen to see how a lighter dress would look on me and off set the look of my dark tattoos and hair colour.

At the time I purchased this Netti to be sent to me was on the cusp of a holiday and my luck I had to wait a little longer so when I made it to the post box I was really beside myself to get into the parcel.

I am not sure where this thought got into my mind yet I was under the impression this Netti was made of a Sateen type shiny fabric and I was relived to discover it was not.

All the same I would love her regardless.

As mentioned before I always want to pull more black items into an outfit so I was inclined to grab my black cardigan as our temps are a bit chilly here and yet I wanted to do something a bit different.  For my eye it was a bit of a jump and I went full into it pairing a taupe cardigan with the dress and was quite pleased with the results.

I even happened to have a lighter coloured flower that seemed to do the trick and so I rolled with it.

I am not sure I can play too much with this dress in swapping out crinoline and shoe colours as much as swapping shoe styles.  I am pleased with the pink and would like more of these “girly” colours for sure.

I wear a 2XL.

I'm a recovering "all-black wearer" too. It's just so easy - you know black will always look good!

But you look fantastic in this printed dress! I actually was on the fence on the print of this one, but I like it more after seeing this photo. With your coloring, you could pull off such a wide array of colors. Go for it!

Thanks ladies..!

I would agree that the prints of the PUG dresses do push you to confront any of your colour wearing issues you may have.  Some of the prints are quite bold and striking such as my other FAV Netti with the anchor motif. That dress commands allot of attention too..

I would look into the dress Jenn Bailey.. looks like it would suit you too..
