You mean transitioning into wearing vintage all of the time? Just start wearing it more often. Start out with little things like hair flowers and hair styles and once you get used to wearing those, add bigger stuff like swing dresses to the mix :D

Hi, Stephanie!

The thing that helped me the most was buying some basic, everyday items that I could use to mix and match. High-waisted cigarette pants [or even dark blue/black skinny jeans], a few cardigans, and some nice pumps or flats. Make-up isn't too difficult or outrageous to transition to, most women wear basic cat's eye liner and lined brows. A little red matte lipstick makes any outfit pop ;)

If you're looking in to vintage hairstyles [victory rolls, pin curls, rolled bangs, etc] there's tonnes of Youtube channels that will give step-by-step walkthroughs. Just type in pin-up hair and there you go! [You WILL need an industrial sized can of hairspray and about fifty million bobby pins, though!]

Remember you don't have to get the pinup style exactly "right."  A few key elements will be enough to help most folks know what it is that you are doing.  Also, some ladies like me do "modern pinup" or "queer pinup" or "rockabilly" or other variations of the 1950s style.  Part of the transition is to make the pinup style work for you and your style and your profession/comfort level/region and the decade you live in.
