I've always wanted one of these. How does it clip on to your sweater?

They are glued (GOOP! is a wonderful product! Found at Michael's and it's a forever glue - these puppies aren't separating anytime!) to jaw (aka alligator) clips, which I also bought at Michael's. I just used the top loop where the chain for the pendant to go instead to connect them with chain. They clip on where-ever you put them, so if your sweater is over the shoulders, they would keep it from falling off. I don't usually wear my sweaters that way, but they also help the sweater from flapping (you know, that annoyance when you're walking fast or it's windy). I also clip them on to my apron at work. And if I'm not doing a sweater or only a 1/2 apron, then I clip them to the collar of my shirt/blouse. I find that they are a great convo starter with customers and I've gotten one of the younger (non-PUG) girls into them! They are really easy to make, which makes it easy to personalize it to you and your personality!

That is such a great idea! I've searched high and low for one of these babies and the real vintage ones I barely found online were ridiculously priced. I will have to try this. Thanks!!

honestly, ebay has been THE source for me picking them up - i will post all of the ones i have (i think i'm over a dozen...) sometime soon. I have gotten them on ebay for really cheap, and i cap my spending at like $12, unless it has true stones or some other value-catcher that would be reasonable to spend over that. I also look everywhere - the latest pair i'm working on are owls that started out as key chains. And then I've decided to make some out of the plumeria earrings & necklaces I just found at the 99cent store. Maybe I'll do a step-by-step (like you're doing for the eyeliner) that I can post on the DIY group... I'm thinking a slideshow ala Powerpoint may be the way to go until I get a flipcam or something! :) PUG <3 to you!!! Love the chats!

Those are adorable, I love the little airplanes :) I have always wanted those sweater clip things, my Grandma used to wear them and I would stare in astonishment as a little girl at how pretty she looked.  I think thats actually where my love for the 40s-50s style came from, she still dressed that way until she died.  (I just had that revelation as I was typing, kinda crazy lol).  My mom may still have them in a box somewhere, I will have to call her now!  I do like to wear my sweater around my shoulders, I love how it looks, but hate having to constantly adjust it so i dont do it very often.
