Me and Felix The Cat
me and my beautiful Felix The Cat. He has Cancer, called fibrosarcoma. I had his tumor removed from his right side in feb. 2014. This type of cancer does not respond well to chemo/radiation and he is not a good candidate either, plus I would not put him through such a harrowing experience for a few extra months of low quality life. The vet said if it did not come back in 6 mos. it would not likely return. I have been praying constantly, asking God for a miracle. I had high hopes. Yesterday, July 5th, I felt it. A new tumor. Imposing, invading my baby. He does not feel it, he does not know. He still runs and plays, eats well, and loves like no kitty before. How do I let him go? I don't want him to leave me alone. I love him so much. But I can't let him suffer. He is counting on me for that. I can't be selfish. He has given me so much all these years with my chronic pain. He takes care of me as much or more than I take care of him. God, teach me how to say good bye.
