What kind of haircuts do you get that work for pinup as well as every day?
I realize this depends a lot on face-shape and hair-type and I'm not even sure how to explain those things very well, but I'd like something attractive that requires very minimum maintenance for every day, but that I could do some styling on when I go out for the weekends. I work in an industry where an "alternative" look is all right, so it would be cool if I got bettie bangs or something otherwise a little bit punky. My hair is moderately wavy, brown, medium-thick, shoulder length. My face is heart-shaped.

I have pretty long hair and I usually put it up in a high ponytail and I will do a victory roll for my bangs, which are now down to my chin. Or I will put it in a messy bun and just wrap a bandana around my head and either do a bumper bang or I will just tease my bangs and pin them back. Hope this helps :)

Typically the "middy" is the way to go and that can be taken on in many ways by different stylists.
Just keeping the basic length "round"(where it falls longer in the back) or "square" (even all the way around), and not too much point cutting or thinning of the ends as it will cause your curls, when you do a proper roller set, to go a little awry.
I'm a stylist myself and lately have noticed it's nearly impossible to keep my hair set all day because my layers need to be a bit more blended.
