Hi Ladies, so i had read several of your alls posts about the sculpter pin curl tool and hesitatd because of how expensive it is plus shipping from the only scource its available from.

But the other day i was walking in Sallys Beauty Supply Store and found this!

http://www.sallybeauty.com/curl-brush/SBS-446002,default,pd.html

Here is the link to it online.

Its called the curl easy pro prush and is used for making curls with the blow dryer but it is essentially the same shape as the Pin Curl tool and only costs about 6 bucks.

I used it the other night and it worked great, it can be used the same as it is shown in the you tube tutorials for the Pin Curl tool, and it comes in two sizes. The shorter teeth in the middle of the brush help to brab all the hair.

It doesnt come in the cute box or with the handy style guide that the Pin Curl tool does, but it does the same job.

As a girl on a budget I thought i would share this!

Thanks Jackie, I will have to go buy one and try it out. I hope it works, I am so clueless on how to to do Vintage hair styles I just end up curling my hair and wearing a pony tail.

Loving this! I just tried to create an account online with Sally's but it didn't like my Australian zipcode. I will keep trying so that I can get my  hands on one of these. My pincurls are completely random at the moment! I'm loving doing them and the look but there is no uniformity to them when I'm doing it by hand. Plus my hair is long so it isn't making it any easier.

Those are my problems too! I wanted the sculter pin curl tool but its pricey. Just watch the tutorials for it and you can and use this the same. If you cant get one, i can probably send you one. :]

Thanks so much, Jackie! I'll let you know what Sally's say and if they can't help me I'll paypal you the money for the pincurler and postage to Australia. Really appreciate the help. :)

i've used this, but the magenta one that's a bit bigger, i'm guessing...i've used it to help me make victory rolls since i'm completely inept otherwise :)  never thought to try it for pincurls!  however, my hair is pretty damn long at this point so i'm not sure pin curls would be very effective; the weight of my hair would probably drag them down straight in a matter of hours.

Could someone explain how to use this for victory rolls, I have no clue to on how to do hair. I just curl my ends and wear a pony tail.

Thanks for sharing!!!!! Most def. going to try it!!!
