Yay! :) I'm studying Film and TV. I'm arriving in September! I want to check out some of the pinup/vintage-style shops in London while I'm there. I know there is a shop in Camden that carries lots of Hell Bunny, and I want to check out Vivien of Holloway.

Vivien of Holloway is one of my favourite places! I love it in there, should definitely check it out, also collectif is amazing too!

Hi Candy - Re: your London question, you can find some lovely pieces all over Camden, but they can also be uber-pricey! I would suggest stalking out the charity shops in the West end (in hope for wealthy peoples' cast offs!) and you can find some awesome vintage and vintage-inspired pieces. There is also a lovely and reasonably priced vintage shop called Rokit (they also have a website) near Covent Garden where you can find authentic vintage from all ages. I'm travelling up to London this weekend and hoping for a sneaky detour! For all the usual Hellbunny etc stuff, you would probably find them cheaper on Amazon et.al and having them delivered.

Thanks for the tips, guys! Is Collectif just a brand? Or do they have stores in the UK, too? I understand what you mean about things getting pricey. I'm sure I'll at least just like being in the stores surrounded by the clothes even if they're too expensive. I've heard Camden has some kind of market, too, Any chance of cheaper finds there? The second-hand shops are definitely a great idea, though, and I'll check out Rokit. Second-hand is what you mean by charity shop, right? I must get my Anglicisms in order!

Hmmm, Camden market can also be super expensive too - they've clocked onto the hipster and tourist trade over the last decade or so, so you're far less likely to find a bargain. That being said, you can find some unique pieces if you're willing to trawl through it on a Sunday morning. Oh and yes, a charity shop is a second hand shop (or a thift store in US-lingo?!) As far as I'm aware, Collectif is just a brand and I'm not aware of any stores (although doesn't mean there aren't any) but I'd imagine they're likely to be concessions in a larger store. In fact, Topshop may also be worth a check in Oxford St. - not necessarily for their lines, but you can sometimes find a rail or 2 of authentic vintage clothing they sell -  usually upstairs in a corner from my experience! Hope this helps, but feel free to reach out nearer the time of your arrival and I can try and help you out with a map or list or something!
