Hi all, I hope it's okay to start this thread here!  On the facebook page I've seen people ask for recommendations for tailors or cleaners, and given that PUG items are made so much better than most other companies' offerings, I too get nervous about trying to get my items professionally altered.  It's hard to really tell from Yelp what place is the best for PUG clothing... the shop I work at has one review from a guy who mentioned that he had visited the shop 15 years before and didn't like how it was now.  In my opinion, it could have something to do with the fact that this shop has only been open for 3 years, but hey, minor detail, right?  NO!  Yelp is not foolproof, sadly.  So if you ladies have any recommendations for good tailors in your area that have successfully altered your PUG garments, please share!  Also, any success stories about altering your PUG garments yourself would be welcome as well!  Any tricks of the trade would be most appreciated :)

Hi Ali! I get my PUG cleaned here http://losangeles.citysearch.com/profile/3898/los_angeles_ca/larchm... I think you'll be familiar with the location :) They are really nice. If I need something simple done as far as hemming or zipper repair they can do it. If I need something that requires more than simple tailoring I go to someone that I consider a master Tailor. He is more expensive but he does flawless work. He is located here http://www.ritzcleaners.com/

You're welcome Ali:) I mostly only go to the Ritz when I need tailoring. He is the best. He's fixed my tiki malibu dress when I had been told by someone else it couldn't be altered to fit me and to send it back. The tailor at the Ritz was able to tailor it to fit me perfectly. I didn't give up thank goodness and I'm glad I took it to him. That's when I discovered what an expert tailor he is. I had gotten the dress on sale so I couldn't exchange it. He's also tailored my Ava dress as well to fit me perfectly. I''ve used the Ritz for cleaning once and thought the bill was really high. So I can understand why they would have mixed reviews on yelp.  I would definitely suggest them for tailoring though. The tailor there really know's his stuff.Good luck Ali! Let me know how it goes for you.
