Hi Fi Fi! :)
I have a sample size of "They're Real", and for some reason it makes me look like I'm wearing no mascara. This makes me sad, because the lady at Ulta said it's their top-selling mascara at the moment!
One mascara that works well on me is Too Faced "Better Than Sex". It seems to deposit a lot of mascara on my lashes really quickly.
For blush, one of my pinup-y staples is MAC "Frankly Scarlet". Gives me a great pinky-red flush, and makes me feel like Snow White! I love that it leans more pink, because I can't wear orangey reds well.
I love Besame cosmetics any of there products make me feel glamourous, and I use Younique mascara, which contains green tea fibers, for that fake lash look without the falsies... I use original jergens (cherry almond scent) for all over moisture... mostly though it's a system of trial and error, of what I like, what feels right, and what season it is, and I like the packaging to have a Retro classic vibe, I want my beauty products to look good on me as well as look good on my dressing table... and it never hurts to have a beautiful compact, and the perfect lipstick for quick touch ups when your out and about...
Ooooooo this is right up my ally!
I am head-over-heels for Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the color Outlaw, which is the perfect bright pinup red. It's a liquid-to-matte formula, and the color payoff is incredible!!!! I also love Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Fiery, which is a beautiful rich red liquid-to-matte. And it smells like vanilla cake!!
As for blush, I'm a definite advocate for NARS Orgasm. It's this stunning peachy pink color that's laced with gold shimmer. In my experience, it looks amazing on almost every skin tone, and it blends absolutely flawlessly!
My top two liquid liners are completely polar opposites when it comes to prices. My absolute favorite is Benefit's Magic Ink liquid liner. It has a very precise little brush as it's applicator, and it just dries insanely black and matte. But, when I'm on a slightly lower budget, Rimmel London's Glam Eyes liquid liner is an exact match for Magic Ink, at about 1/5 of the price. It's brush is a little longer, and doesn't allow as much precision, but it also dries very black and very matte.
And, for a neutral and matte eye look, which is what I usually stick to with my shadows, I've found that the Naked2 Basics palette from Urban Decay is absolutely perfect. It has, I believe, six different neutral eyeshadow shades, all matte. They work absolutely wonderfully for my everyday pin up look!
