Where are your all time best places to find authentic vintage pieces in New England?
I can't speak for all upstate New Yorkers, but I can tell you it's darn near impossible to find vintage clothing shops in my area. I usually just find things the old-fashioned way of hunting in consignment shops. We have plenty of antique stores and festivals, so I'll hunt and peck through those for accessories (I LOVE brooches!!!), and once in a while will find some separates. Otherwise, it's mostly online shopping for me (especially since I'm so stinkin' tall). Sooooo, it's like Christmas when Mr. Postman comes :)
I feel the same way about my area.....consignment shops are my only option, with the exception of the Internet.
There is a super cute shop called Concetta's Closet that has great vintage clothes in Newmarket, New Hampshire. Since New Hampshire is pretty remote the shop has a very solid online presence, http://www.etsy.com/shop/concettascloset.
The Facebook page is great because the lady, I think her name is Dana, updates daily. https://www.facebook.com/concettascloset/
I hope that helps!
