Corsets - starter for ten

I've read the previous posts on corsets - and really loved the corsets-uk.com recommendation. however , before I buy I wanted to ask for some tips/advice.

I'm new to corsets, and would like a cinched look but don't know much else about them... do I go over bust, under bust?? Is it best to get something neutral - or does the colour not really matter so you can go all out? Please help me start out as it's really something I want to get into and to create that great cinched look but I don't quite know where to start!

I really loved this - emerald green satin overbust wait cinching corset., but wasn't sure if this was a great place to start or not!
