Show and Tell - Your Significant Other or Others

  Hey Ladies,

  I feel like so often we get to know one another a little here online but not well enough. A Vintage page I am apart of on Facebook did this and it was really fun!

  Your significant other can be your partner, your husband, your wife, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your children, your pets whatever it is share it! Tell us how you met or got this significant other, why they are so special and how do they deal with your fashion obsession with PUG and Pinup related goodies.

  I will start with mine. 

 This is Josh.

 We met at a Horror Convention over 2 years ago, his Blue eyes and bone structure got my attention. Though I obviously scared him because I literally had to wave him down and go talk to him as every time I would get close to him he would run off. It was hilarious and I still tease him about it to this day. We totally hit it off and it was a whirl wind relationship with its ups and downs, break ups and make ups. We are still together today and he is my best friend. 

  People often think we are brother and sister because we are built the same, have dark hair, light eyes, cheek bones and big lips, but we aren't... maybe we are just a tad narcissistic. We are both artists and have a passion for film, so he understands my obsession with fashion and clothes. Though he finds it hard to deal with how much stuff I have, and how little I get rid of things. I have an entire room dedicated to my clothing, design and make-up that he helped me paint, so I would say he is supportive. 

  We are currently engaged, with no date since weddings are expensive and we both have to save. This is my significant other, until we finally get a dog ;).

My husband and I just celebrated the 25th Anniversary of our first date. He was my sister's boyfriend's best friend. We met the month before I turned 16 and dated for 8 years before getting married. He took me to my senior prom as you can see here:

In High School I had a bit of a Marilyn Monroe thing. He helped me through art school and knows more about art and artists than a lot of my collegues (I am currently an art teacher).

We had a few rough years after our son was born and almost split - but we did a lot of hard work and decided to stay together. I am so glad we did - We are in our 40s and I feel this is the best time of my life! We are great together and I have been investing time into me and liking me again. Here is my first Pin Up Girl Dress:

I have been working out at an athletic gym and have changed my eating habits and lost about 20 pounds - I like myself and spend the time (and money) on making myself look good when we go out!

He definately reaps the befifits of a happy wife :-)

I just wish I had a photographer to capture my every look!!

Hi, Im Angelia and Ive been with my guy since  september 13th 2011, His name is Conor and i realised he was the one, when I was actually with my ex Paul, Conor makes me feel better about myself than anyone we are both trained chefs, hes the perfect amount of douchebag it evens out my bitch-ness, we love the same music which has always been hard for me to find in a man he makes me smile like no other guy and i laugh like I've never laughed before, we have no plans of children or marriage, but he supports me and my love of clothes comics and toys he accepts that i wont give any of it up and lets me teach him about Batman and he teaches me his Conspiracy theories and i would no change a moment ive been with him

Here is a photo of my honey and I when I was pregnant with our youngest. We were high school sweethearts. We knew from the very beginning that what we have was going to last. We married when I was 19, he was 20 and he joined the Army. We spent 5 years in Germany and are currently in Colorado. We have been through many moves and he is currently deployed to Afghanistan for his third tour. We have two amazing little boys Vinny and David. We also have two dogs Herman and lily who go everywhere with us. MIlitary life is hard but we are going on 8 crazy years together that I wouldn't change for the world! 

Oh and he completely supports my PUG obsession. I had my two dresses picked out for his homecoming before he even left. We are both a little old fashioned at heart. He loves me in victory rolls and my vintage/vintage style garb. He actually likes going antiquing with me and has great taste when I can't decide which PUG dress to buy. Yeah I got me a good one

These are my Loves <3

My main man, Salvador, is my BF of one year.  We met on Facebook. He caught my eye when he left a really cute, funny comment on one of La Cholita’s pictures.  I decided to check him out but his profile was private.  I usually don’t request to be friends with people (especially guys) that I don’t know but I decided to take a chance and sent him a request. Thankfully he accepted. We got to know each other through private messages and on the phone for almost a year until I finally got the courage to meet him in person. For some reason I wanted to be “just friends” but I could not resist his charms. Now we are living together with our two beautiful pet children Sonny (on the left) and Sonya (on the right).  

You can meet some great people on these Interwebz. :-)

Hi everyone!  My name is Kara and I met my Husband in high school although we were not in the same crowd then we just had some mutual friends. we started dating a few years after high school and have been together for the last 11 years, and married for the last 4 years. We are best friends and and he makes me laugh and smile every day. We have 7 month old twin boys, Ford and Jax, and they are amazing! My husband and my kids are the best things to ever happen to me in my life and they make every day special! My husband and I both love clothing and shoes which is fun but dangerous, lol!

This is my husband and best friend, David.  Tomorrow we we will have been together for 8 years and this September we will have been married for 3 years.  We grew up in the same neighborhood and one day after I graduated high school, I was walking my doggie and as he would say, I had you when I whistled :)  We now have two Dobermans, Klutch Corneilius (the Fawn one) and Jett Josephine (the Red)-they are my babies and I love them so much!  

My husband is supportive of my pin up addiction because he loves the way I look in the clothes and in fact, his next tattoo will be of me from an upcoming pinup photo shoot, this August.

This is my hubby Nykk.. we met through a mutual friend, and were attracted to each other instantly. Although my friends at the time were very much against me dating him, I couldn't resist.. and here we are 6 years later and still in love( lesson: ignoring your friends sometimes is for the best) We both love art, antiques, tattoos, trying new foods, traveling, horror movies, rockabilly culture etc. We also both share a similar humor.. no matter how f**ked up something is we both will laugh at it :D

He doesn't really "deal" with my hair/makeup/clothing interests because he truly embraces it! He knows it makes up who I am ( I am also a hairstylist) and he even likes suggesting hair flowers for my outfits any given day ( now thats romance) ! :)
