Retro Styles for gals with pin straight, fine hair that does not hold curl HELP!
I've tried MANY things. Curling iron with double prong pins, pillow rollers, wet sets, with pin curls and rollers. Used Lottabody and organic olive oil foaming wrap with both these techniques, got wonderful (but very temporary results, limp in a couple of hours) Used a bonnet dryer, also tried sleeping on it. Tried washing with a clarifying shampoo and no conditioner. I have a couple more setting lotions I ordered from Sally's I'm going to try.....Elan conditioning setting and Proclaim setting lotion.......
Anyone with hair like mine know of a way to curl that actually works and stays curled? I have to go to a wedding in a couple of weeks and trying to find the magic way to fix my hair. I have the Rennells hair book, love the "Pin Up", but my hair will not cooperate! I would rather not cut my hair or get a perm....Hope someone out there knows something I don't know!

I got my box of Sally Beauty goodies in the mail yesterday. I tried Elan Setting lotion last night...OMG it's a winner, this is the only stuff that has worked in my hair for wet sets! I slept on it last night and it still looks great! I think I found what I was looking for!
