Not that there's anything wrong with lazing around in leggings and a big t-shirt. But I was wondering, what do you guys default to on causal/lazy days?

Lately I feel like when I'm in a hurry I'll just throw something on and head out the door. I'm trying to mix it up and could use a little inspiration :)

I do a fair bit of freelance so on days when I'm working at home I don't get all dolled up. Sometimes I do the leggings and t-shirt thing I also wear a lot of wrap style skirts and dresses. I also have a few dresses that are comfortable, easy to put on and presentable for days I don't feel like putting a ton of effort in, but I have to go to a meeting or to the office. It may sound crazy but Stop Staring's swing style dresses are some of my fast favorites. Many of them have defined cups built into the dress so you don't have to wear a bra, plus they are long enough to cover my knees and easy enough to pair with a cardigan, making them rather versatile.

I've also been eyeing the luscious dresses lately as knit dresses are some of my favorite lazy day items!

Ooo knit dresses can be soo nice! I work from home a lot too. Maybe sometime I'll check out the Stop Staring dresses. I had a swing one forever ago that was super comfy, but i pretty much wore it to shreds! Might be time for a replacement! bwhaha :)

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Of Course!

Stop staring is so damn expensive, I don't think I've ever bought one at full price, but I do love them!

I also work from home, as does my coworker who is also into pinup. It's hella hot right now in CA, especially where she lives. We both do a lot of leggings & a tank-top kind of setups with flowers/scarves pinned into our hair so we look cool on video calls.

Seconding the Luscious as a lazy day item, although IMO you want to size up if you're going to do a lot of sitting in it so the elastic doesn't cut into your waist - I have an XL and a 2X would have been better.  I also like the Anna for lazy days.

I am a fan of long maxi dresses when I am too lazy and too hot, and bonus, I don't have to shave my legs!  I have a couple of skirts with elastic waist bands that are comfy to wear with a tank or tee shirt as well.

Oooo maxi dresses are a great idea! thanks :)

When I'm feeling lazy, I find it easiest to curl my hair very loosely so it's curly but messy, put on some black leggings and a simple t, and throw on some lipstick. I think the key to looking like you aren't wearing pajamas is to throw on a long cardigan and wear real shoes- not uggs or flip flops. (Although don't get me wrong... You will find me in my Uggs sometimes this winter.)

I totally agree about the shoes.  When it gets cold out I basically live in legging and thermals on my lazy days, but I find that when I go out if I'm wearing a coat and nice heeled boots you can't really tell.

with shoes, I've normally been going for these black canvas mary janes that I picked up in portland. Super cute for casual outfits, and they also look great with dresses! However, probably not going to be the best choice when the weather gets cold...

Around the house though, i'm fuzzy socks and slippers 85% of the time :)

What store did you find the canvas flats in? I'm not in Portland but I've seriously been looking all over for a pair of those!

I used to wear those all of the time, I even had a velvet pair for a little while.  I started out buying them from Urban Outfitters, even though I don't really like their products, then I found out that I can get them for even cheaper from Amazon!  I'm not sure if they are the same as what you have Paige, or what you're looking for Nikki, but they are sure comfy.

Awesome!!! YOU ROCK. I seriously am so happy you linked that! I don't think I would have found them just searching. Thank you!!
