Got in my first dress purchase today. Black Vamp in 2x which according to the size charts should have fit. WAY too big. Makes me look huge because there is extra material in back. Hopefully an XL will fit. I will have to resell I guess. I also got in the Bettie swimsuit in a 2x and it's too large. LOL. Maybe XL is just my size no matter what the charts/measuring tape says.

SO bummed! Such cute things!!

I'm between a L and XL (my measurements are: 42-37-41) per the sizing chart so I was afraid of ordering online. I went to Burbank to try on some dresses at Pin Up Boutique and I can fit into an XL but because the material of the Erin Wiggle dress is so stretchy I bought a Large. http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/erin-dress-plum.html

I'm short 5'3" and short waisted so the XL dress in the back looked weird as it had a lot of material and it rode high up my back. I tried on different styles and I fit into most of them in XL.

Good luck with ordering.

So since I last posted this I've bought a Heidi in an XL and a Lana in an XL. Both too big but both from online so I can return. What in the world?? Lol... according to the size charts I should be between an XL and 2x. These dresses are sooo gorgeous and just not working out for me! I did buy a Netti in an XL and an Anna in Large(both used on here) and those 2 seem to fit better although there was still room in both of those to size down I think. I wear about a 12/14 typically in other clothing. Going to start trying for Large and hoping I can do less returning and more wearing!

What are your measurements?  you also have to take into account any stretch.  are you going by US or UK sizing for your other clothes?  I hope you can find a size that works.

44/34/42.

it looks like you should be an xl in the vamp and the Heidi, though Heidi has a good amount of stretch to it.  the lana though, you should fit perfectly in the Xl...weird.

I recommend going by your waist size, almost exclusively unless it is a high neck style in which case consider the bust measurement.  I almost always just use the waist measurement when choosing the size, most have plenty of room in the bust even if you are outside of the given range.  There can be issues with sizing when you have that much difference in your waist and bust measurement.  If there is stretch or a more open/low neckline go with the L, if it really structured or has a high neck try the XL.  But I don't think you should ever be in a 2XL.  Good luck!

Thanks! I'll stick with the Ls and XLs and see. I was so in love with the Heidi and honestly the XL fit but seemed like was a bit too big so I had to use the belt to make it more fitted. For that price though I would like it to just fit though belt or not.  I traded the Lana in for a L and got that in today. It's SNUG. Worried I will break the zipper.

Have you already sold your 2x? Maybe I could buy them??

I have a 2x Black Vamp dress I bought on here. Tried it on and much too large for me. The rest I could exchange or have sold off thank goodness.
