Hi ladies!

Due to a bad dip-dying experiment, I now have to cut a good 4 inches off of my hair... While I'm not exactly happy about it, I am looking forward to being able to do more vintage hairstyles! My hair will need to be about shoulder length... How should I have the stylist cut it?  These are the types of styles I'm wanting to try:

Thank you so much!!

I think you could probably get away with just having the unwanted length trimmed off, and find lots of great tutorials online for shoulder length hair. ^.^ But I've actually been wondering the same thing lately.

Thanks Paige! Yeah, that is what I think I am going to end up doing... I did some Youtube searching and a lot of people seem to talking about a "Midi" cut. But I'm realllllly skeptical that anyone in my town will know what that is haha.

That style will be very pretty on you.

Thank you!

I've been wanting/experiencing  a more vintage hair cut and I've been looking into a middy haircut as well.  You could try vintage pin-curl set patterns that can give you that vintage look like picture 2; rolling the hair under and towards face with the help of a Denman styling brush.

Thank you! What Denman brush would you recommend? My hair tends to get pretty frizzy when I brush out curls.

Do either of you ladies have a good example picture of the "Midi" haircut? I'm really curious. :)

These are the Youtube videos I watched where I learned about it. :) It sounds like it is a shoulder-length cut with a u-shape in the back.
