Everyone has a 'go to' piece of clothing and mine is without a doubt the Deadly Dames Capris. And now I am going to to tell you why.
First off, no matter if your feeling daggy & slopping around the house or you want to slip into something snazzy to show off what you've got, the capri will fit your mood. They look fantastic paired with either a slouchy shirt or say a bustier & heels. Sometimes I want to look fab but am just in a downright lazy mood and can't be bothered wrestling with some of the trickier things to get into (I'm looking at you vamp top). And once you slip into these bad boys your spirits will lift becasue you KNOW you look amazing, they actually make me feel a little bit like 'bad' Sandy from Grease.
Once you have the capris on they absolutely feel like a second skin. And the expression 'fits like a glove' definitely applies. The second pair I got was black and once I put them on I knew I had to have more. At this point I might just take a sceond to say the first pair were the leopard capris and I sized up to a medium but becasue they are not made of the fabulous stretch bengaline once I had them on for a few hours they became saggy in the bottom (I also have a flat butt).
Now about sizing - my measurements are 35, 27.5, 36 & I am 5'5" tall. The black I have in small and they fit perfect, except for sometimes I get a little bit of 'toe'. Becasue these pants are black its not noticaceable & I think I am only aware because I am worried about it. (This is actually a problem I have with the Sateen High waisted trousers - smalls don't have a long enough rise and mediums are a bit baggy on me) So for my red ones I decided to size up to medium & I am super glad I did. They are a bit looser on but becasue they are stretch bengaline they just cling to the skin, and def no toe. The red is also a fantastic shade, a bit deeper than what the pictures on the website show. I nearly didn't get these becasue I am waiting for the other colours to come back, but I am chuffed that I did becasue lets face it red is fabulous!
So now I eagerly await the return of hot pink & baby blue. I swear I have been on the waiting list for these for a ballion gazillion years, well thats how it feels at least. Micheline has assured me on the facebook page that it will be this month. So I am hoping I can pick them up when I come to the boutique in April. My guy has restricted me from any more online shopping becasue we are going to VLV in a few weeks (we are in Australia) so fingers crossed they don't sell out before I can snag myself a pair! side note: the red ones I only got two weeks ago, I got my derby girls to order so I could add them in sneakily and when the fedex man turned up to work I met him at the gate & the box went straight to the car, my guy/boss never even knew..... lol, now when I bring them out in a few weeks I'll be all like "these these old things? I've had them for ages!"
So there you have it , my opinion of why you all need capris. Except please don't buy pink & blue until I have secured a pair, otherwise I will be super sad.
Picture is with Ridley top (another must have item!)
