Hi again ladies! There's nothing I love more than a great swing skirt for when I go dancing, so I usually try to look for full circle skirts, or as close to circle as I can get.

I've noticed in the pinup world that there is not a universal application/agreement on what constitutes a full circle, though. For some, they use it to refer to the fact that the skirt falls in a circle shape around the wearer, usually in a somewhat full-looking fashion. The definition *I* look for is when the fabric is cut to form a 360 degree circle that fans out from the waist, so that if the wearer spins around, it's like she's in the middle of a giant record or something.

Anyway! For those ladies who have one or more of the following dresses in their wardrobes, can you speak to whether or not any of these is a full circle skirt as I have defined it (or near enough)? If you have more than one, could you say which one has a fuller skirt compared to the other(s)?

Ginger
Evelyn: super full, almost a complete circle skirt
Zooey: balloon-ish skirt, not a circle, not a lot of twirl or flare
Lily: full circle skirt
Courtesan Swing: super full, almost a full circle

Currently waiting for my Zooey but will let you know/post pics asap!

Super!

I have the Evelyn and the Courtesan Swing, they both fall just a little short of how you defined circle skirts. They both are super full skirts and fan out a lot when spinning. I wear mine when I go swing dancing and I wear full petticoats with them too. Hope this helps! :)

Yes, thank you!

Your very welcome!

Update for anyone who might be interested: received two dresses yesterday.

Golightly Lily is pretty much a full circle skirt, I am happy to report!. If you grab the dress at the bottom hem on either side seam and stick your arms straight out to your sides, the skirt falls in a lovely half-circle to your front and back.

Zooey is NOWHERE NEAR a circle skirt. It is more of a balloon shape, with some fullness but not close to the amount of flare given by a circle.
