I'd like to open something up for discussion - what do you lovelies think?

I just had a thought and decided to voice it here. What do you gorgeous girlies think about having a discussion for each size? Then if you have something to list you add a comment with all the details to the relevant size discussion? If you're interested in a listed item you can reply to that comment, rather than the entire discussion, then when the item is sold the seller can delete their listing comment.

It may be easier to go to your sized discussion that way and I imagine it being better and eaisier for both buyer and seller.

There could be a discussion for each clothing size, each shoe size and also one each for handbags, jewellery and hair accessories.

What are everyone else's thoughts on this?

YES.

Really good idea! I hate having to wade through everything just to find listings in my size.

PLEASE!!!!!

It sounds very efficient but wouldn't it make it more trying for those that are in between sizes. Many of us can fit both L and XL, or M and L, shoe sizes 6.5 and 7. And the brands can vary as well. That may potentially triple the work someone in that category would have to do when searching for something. Just my opinion.

Yeah I did think of that too Joanna, though I still actually think it would be more efficient. If you fit two sizes you just look in those sizes. I agree it could be a pain for sellers listing in different places if they have many different sized items to list, but it that case the seller could type them up elsewhere (a Word doc, text file, body of an email etc) and then just copy-paste into each discussion?

With regards to shoes I think having a discussion for the size and half size would work well. That way if someone can fit 7 or 7.5 and 8 they look in two discussions rather than three. Ie. there would be one discussion entitled 'Shoe sizes 6 and 6.5'.

I think that without grouping it in a similar way it is going to get mammoth and be more difficult for people to find items they may be looking for, and in turn making it harder for the seller to make a sale.
Just thinking more on your comment about fitting different sizes and it making it more difficult that way. Would be just like in a store where you get a few sizes to try on, but rather than having to dig through the entire store of items all hung together (well hopefully! Ha!), you are able to grab a size S and M from those areas.

I can see it growing into a beast of many pages being left to have a discussion per item, which will make it very hard to use for people looking, and hard to sell.

Cool. Grouping would make it better, that's what I was thinking of as well.

great idea!

Yay! I think we should wait a bit longer to get more opinions and if it is agreed that we should do this, I am happy to do all the work - create the groups and put the current items in each size group. Seeing as though it was my idea and all :)

Bump :)
Yup, that's right, if tagged you can find those items through searching. I actually started this discussion before the tagging suggestion one was started and then the decision made for tags to be on each listing. So, to some this may not seem necessary now, and I too don't think it's as necessary now. Though I do think it's still a good idea. Be nice to hear what some of Team PUG think... x

I was thinking about the tags as well. It would be fantastic if everyone actually wrote out Large as opposed to just putting L because a search for a single letter might pull up many things they're not looking for.
