I am in desperate need of recommendations for a new foundation. I have tried oh so many foundations and I have two prolems: the first is that I make Snow White look like she baked in the sun, and the second is every foundation I have tried travels and cakes. Ugh! The three most recent disappointments are Bare Minerals Original, Benefit PlayStick and also their Hello Flawless. The only foundation that is my color L'Oreal Paris True Match In Neutral 001 slips and slides even with primer and powder. HELP! SOS! AHH!

I would recommend Mary Kay foundation, primer, and powder, they make all their colors in all different types. powder, compact, tube, liquid foundation i used to always use it but i can't afford any make-up anymore :( it has amazing coverage, great make-up.

If you can get your hands on it then I would recommend Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation in Vanille Clair. I am one of those pale types and it covers beautifully without making me look like a wotsit! They do a matching concealer in the same colour (I suffer with dark circles and it makes them vanish!) I finally set with No 7 loose powder in transparent (you might be able to get hold of this) and finish with a sweep of Bourjois baked blush. Stays all day without the need for primer. I swear by the stuff now and refuse to buy any other foundation :) Good luck!

I'm not pale but I do hate cakey foundation. I have had to stop using mineral makeup because it was never  finely milled. The only one I have tried that seems to go on smoothly is Laura Mercier (I tried it at Sephora) unfortunately, none match my skin tone.

Have you tried applying pressed powder with a sponge? Finishing powder?

-Good luck! :)

I'm extremely pale, I've found Lorac Natural finish is full coverage without the cake factor.

make up for ever HD foundation! it goes on sheer but provides medium to full coverage using a beauty blender sponge believe me it goes on amazing and they have a bunch of colors OR NARS sheer glow foundation. my fav primers are smashbox and korres pomegranate primer. go to sephora.com or a sephora store these products are so worth it.

I wear Teint Idole 24 hour wear foundation by Lancome. It is a little pricey but worth every cent and a little goes a long way so it lasts for months. It has a pump applicator on top so it keeps the product free of germs and helps you distribute just the amount of product that you need without waste. I like to use a foundation brush by Lancome to apply my liquid foundation because it makes the makeup glide on evenly and helps to blend it for a seamless professional application. Makeup sponges tend to soak up the product so a lot is wasted which is why I prefer a foundation brush or my clean fingers if needed. It stays put even with my combination skin and I can even take a cat nap in it without it smearing. It is transfer proof(won't rub off on clothing),has a built in sunscreen and does not clog my pores because it is oil-free, It even holds up in unbearably hot weather like I have here in NC. I like to use a large powder brush and apply Lancome's Dual Finish powder over the areas where I have redness in my T zone. It will perfect your skin and give you a flawless complexion. I have been wearing Lancome Teint Idole foundation and Dual Finish powder since it came out over twenty years ago. If you go to any Lancome counter the consultant will help you choose your perfect shade.

I use the powder puff that the powder comes with. When that gets disgusting I buy new ones at CVS or Walgreens. I bought the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in their lightest shade (I forgot the name) but unless I cake on the powder it streaks worse than my great aunt's makeup at a funeral. I have had some luck with the Revlon Nearly Naked line. It's light enough and I do like that my skin texture does show. I'm not a porcelain doll after all. It's me but flawless. I use the E.L.F. HD setting powder. It's $6 at my local Target and it feels lovely on my skin. Thank you everyone for your comments.

So the first picture is natural brows. The second is with the left brow done. What I'm asking you ladies is some critic on it as I've never actually done my brows before I don't want to look silly. Continue
