Don't mind my hair ! My biggest regret was not having a proper brush the day of ( it was very windy out).

I drafted my own pattern  , the fabrics were silk organza , cheap-o crafting lace , silk taffeta, silk charmeuse and duchess satin. The bodice is what took most of my time I followed Susan Khalje's book Bridal Couture book , the bodice was heavily boned with spring steel boning and a petersham waist stay in two layers of silk organza . The lining of my bodice was silk charmeuse ( which was heavenly!) . The exterior was constructed with 2 layers of taffeta , crafter's lace(ran out of money) and a layer of duchess satin .

The pattern was self drafted , I am a street size 18 and it is really hard to find any commercial patterns that fit well. It is a princess seamed bodice with a sweetheart neckline and a removable halter strap ,  the skirt is a full circle that is tea length. I kept the pattern simple and focused on quality construction techniques .

The best part was I sewed everything on my old Necchi 513 sewing machine :)

I hope you guys like it :)
