Is there a 1940s-1950s style that you would like to see PUG bring to life for your closet?


   I'm sure I'm not alone here when I say that I wish I could find certain styles of clothes that I have seen in classic films and photographs. My love for the dresses, hats, purses, shoes, swimwear and prints inspired by the 1940s and 1950s are the very reason why I stop by Pinupgirlclothing.com.
   Are there any vintage photos, sketches, patterns, or screen shots from favorite classic movies of clothes that you wish you could prance around in? If you wanted to communicate how you wanted specific outfits, accessories of shoes made, what would you do to show your inspiration? Are there any pics out there of vintage clothes that you wish you could have in a different print pattern, color, neckline, etc. ? Please share and maybe your inspirations can become manifestations :)

This hat and polka dot dress with pleated skirt...OOOOH YEEEAAH :) I would love to see this dress style in solid colors too...pastels are my favorite :)


Please PUG surprise me with peekaboo cutout jumpsuits and dresses in varied lengths, colors, and patterns...a chinese blossom print might be pretty cool :)



 

A girl can’t have too many swimsuits either, can she? Can PUG do the Barbie stripes in  other colors too?

i want everything gene tierney wore in "laura" and "leave her to heaven", especially this:

i could only find pictures of the tops of those outfits, but i think you can imagine how amazing they are in full!
i also love rita hayworth's costumes in "gilda". i realize that if i tried to pull off this coat, i'd probably look more dorothy zbornak than rita hayworth, but i've still always wished for it:

one thing i'd reeeeeeeeeeeally LOVE to see pug do is sleepwear/loungewear/robes. i hate frumpy pajamas, especially when i'm watching a classic movie and the ladies on screen are hanging around the house in super glamwear. ;) but i also don't want to be weirdly chillin' in a negligee all the time. it's really hard to find a middle ground.

Goodness gracious Gilda :) That coat is amazing!!! Too many outfits I love from that movie, and many other movies she has done. She is one of my favorite ladies :)

Granted it's the 1960's, but I pretty much want the entire wardrobe from Belle de Jour.  One day, I will recreate every piece Catherine Deneuve wore in that movie (unless PUG does it for me first!).

I'd REALLY love to see some capes/ponchos? Various lengths maybe some for cool spring nights and some  for cold winter nights!? Laura was talking about more jackets and outerwear for the fall season I think she'd make a DIVINE cape.

Another idea that I had is not based on a movie but vintage pictures. Maybe some sleeveless button-up shirts for the summer. I know I would live in these all summer. And maybe some with sleeves.And maybe something like Natalie Wood's main outfit in Rebel Without a cause
