So I thought it would be fun for everyone to introduce themselves, and answer some questions (completely optional!)

1.  Name or nickname?

2.  What type or types of dance do you practice or perform, or are learning, or wish to learn?

3.  Who are your dance inspirations?

4.   Any future plans?

Me:

I go by Demimondaine, online.   I have studied flamenco for several years, and am just starting to perform on a regular basis.    I also take tap, jazz, and modern, and do a bit of local theatre.   My dance inspirations include (but are not limited to!):  Gypsy Rose Lee, Vera-Ellen, Dita von Teese, Carmen Amaya, Leslie Caron, and Gelsey Kirkland.

My teacher and I recently started a flamenco dance theatre group, Caló Theatre Company.   We are currently workshopping a holiday show, which opens in December, in Atlanta.

I have dabbled a bit in burlesque on my own, choreographing two numbers, but I have not performed publicly yet.   That is for the future... maybe ;)

My Name is Aubrey (Aubz for short) and I currently teach chair dancing classes and flirty fitness classes. I have taken ballet, jazz, tap, and recently a feather dance class and I feel in love so that what I hope to learn more of. I am inspired by any woman with self confidence and poise, but one of my favs is Ms. Kitty Victorian (shes who I took the feather dance class from).

Future plans to just keep evolving into burlesque style dances and maybe one day perform myself :)

Ooohh LOVE FLAMENCO!  Do you have a facebook page for the troupe?

Not yet, it's on my to-do list!

My Christian name is JoEllyn but my singing/pinup stage name is Pearls Mahone (when I did burlesque it was Stella Breathless)

I sing in a rockabilly/country blues band called Pearls Mahone & The OneEyed Jacks.  But I also love to sing torch songs, jazz, blues, bluegrass, opera, and classical---and EVERYTHING in between!  R&B, hiphop, pop, etc.

I of course am inspired by Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, but also Johnny Cash, Iris Dement, The Carter Family, Elvis Presley, and SOOOOO many more!

Future plans---I really want to get out to the west coast and play!  I played Viva Las Vegas 15 this year, am hoping I get asked back!!!!  I'd love to tour Cali, NV, and TX next summer!  Any help with booking agents, club contacts, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

My name is Lila Starlet. I dance with a burlesque troupe in South Florida called Cupcake Burlesque and I love it. I mainly do burlesque, but I am also part of a dance company called Masala Fusion which is a bellydance company.  I have studied ballet, jazz, flamenco, and argentine tango. I would love to do more tango and jazz, and also learn some swing dancing.

My dance inspirations include Dita Von Teese, Coco Lectric, Roxi D'lite, Dirty Martini, Inga Ingenue. Also some bellydancers, Zoe Jakes, Rachel Brice, Bryanna, etc.

I am also part of an underwater swim show doing retro aquatic themed shows at the Wreck Bar in Ft. Lauderdale. It's really fun and also we work to preserve one of the last remaining porthole bar pools in Florida from the golden age of tourism in the 1950s.

You can check me out here if you want more info on any of it :)
