So I'm having a hard time trying to decide what I want to wear to this rockabilly car show that I'm going to tomorrow ( You know u want to go too!) It's in Lincoln, CA outside of the Thunder Valley Casino. Only $5.00 to get in! Any who, I think I might wear my Daisy dress in black cherry or my black Marilyn top with a black and red cherry A line skirt I got from heartbreakerfashion.com urg! can't decide. So his brings up a few questions for u ladies Do u think the Daisy dress would be cute to wear to a car show? Or what do u usually wear to car shows? Also where can I buy a red chiffon scarf to wear around my neck if I wear the Marilyn top? From a store tho since I need it tomorrow (no time for online ordering). And last whats a good brand of red nail Polish? Something cheap buy doesn't chip super easy (I do hate that!). Thanks for ur help! :)

Ah! Good thinking. I didn't even think about the whole black + heat = me melting. Thanks for the reminder. Dang it! Now its back to the drawing board lol. I do have a white and pink version of the A line heartbreaker skirt. . So where is the car show u'll be going to?

since i'm here in southern cal too, i've been told by our ever trustworthy weatherpeople it's going to get hot this weekend - we're supposed to be in for a heat wave. so, i would go with the pink/white heartbreaker... :) as for a chiffon scarf, maybe make your own in a pinch, or check in a little out of the way thrift shop on the way there, or a little non-major retailer (we have a couple here in town that are mainly owned by asian storeowners and they sell items imported for the US from asian countries... but they are inexpensive and carry a ton of off the main grid items sometimes!). all else fails, stop at joann's fabrics or michael's arts & crafts and pick up a ribbon to match and tie that around your neck (a thick one)... sorry, that one sounded a little off being typed... maybe what's in my head wouldn't exactly have the same effect.  have fun tomorrow!!!

I like the dress, but i like the top too! i see your problem lol.  I vote for which ever is more comfortable, ie thinner, less hot fabric.  i'm sure either way, you will look smokin

Well, I did not heed the wise advice that you lovely ladies provided me with and I was so regretting that I didnt. I chose the marilyn top and the black chery skirt and threw on some flats, red heart earings and the wide black patin leather belt that comes with alot of the PUG dresses. I was SSOOOOOOOO Hot!... but i did look really cute lol. It was 96 degrees and my curls were on the verge of a meltdown. However, I got so many compliments :) especially from the older women who actually lived the era. And Even tho I was hot at least I had clothes on and felt respectable. Cant say as much for most of the girls that were there Jeepers!! Lol.

i 2nd that, brandi - i have one in my purse too. you never know when it will come in handy!!!

Funny cause that was the first thing I thought of when I got there. I was thinking to bad I don't have one of those little fans. Thanks tor the pic That fan is gorgeous! I used to have one of the cheap ones but of course it broke. Not sure where to find another. Maybe World Market. That store has all kinds of nic-nacs and such. But yea the only reason I didn't go with the white skirt was because I didn't have a clean top to wear with it. Plus I fooled my self into thinking that because it was a night car show that it wouldn't be too hot. Boy was that a joke lol it was STILL 96 degrees at 8:00pm!!!
I was there!!! I wore my red polka dot dress as I went last minute. I saw so many girls wearing PUG but there were also a lot that were pretty skanky! It was a great show tho!
How cool!! Do u have any pics of the dress!? I don't think I saw u I don't remember any red polka dot dresses. Glad to hear u were dressed classy and appropriate aswell tho. There are mental images I'm still trying to erase from my brain lol. It was a good show tho besides the heat. That was my second time going. . . I wonder if u saw me lol ;)
