I like so many it's hard to choose.
I would have to say the all time scariest movie for me was The Shining! Kubrick really knew how to get in your head!
I really love Hershel Gordon Lewis... blood feast, color me blood red, 2000 maniacs, etc. They are just so sick and cheesy. I love horrible acting and low budget films.. for example poor Tony here after his girlfriend gets it.... http://youtu.be/qQNvFjasJ0o Superb!
I love grind house films. All the low budget stuff up into the 70's. My movie collection is quite bizarre. Things like Death Bed..The Bed that Eats, Troll 2 etc. To give you an idea where my head is... I own every movie by HG Lewis, David Lynch, John Waters, Russ Meyer etc.. I know those last two are not technically horror however I have made people scream showing them...even lost a friend over a showing of 'Desperate Living'.
So back to serious stuff some other favorites...
Halloween (the original)
Carrie
Suspiria
Alice Sweet Alice
Pieces
Wicker Man (original although the remake is Hilarious!
These are just off the top of my head. I have so many more I'm sure I'll think of later.
Oh and of course who doesn't love the classics Dracula, Frankenstein etc...
And Hammer Films! I LOVE Hammer Films!!! I am in love with Christopher Lee!
So what are some of your favorites?

oh man, all of the Howling movie were such unabashed cheese. I can't even lie, my favorite is Howling III because it was SO ridiculous. Marsupial werewolves! XD
I will love Kevin McKidd forever just because of how awesome he was in that movie.
and, oh, speaking of (kind of, having to do with Neil Marshall movies), The Descent is one of the creepiest movies I've ever seen. I had nightmares about the ending.
The Decent is the one with the cave thingie isn't it? I didn't watch it I don't do well with things in tight places, LOL. (I had a panic attack watching an episode of Dirty Jobs where mike went to a salt mine, LOL) and it didn't look very good from the trailers but I've heard alot of good things about this... maybe I'll give it a shot
Yeah, that movie was F***ed up =] Especially when she falls in the deep pool of blood in the dark, with all the bones/bodies lying around.
lol... I love this debate about zombie movies vs infected movies... and still not sure I fully understand? Dawn of the Dead is Zombie, because although the bite 'infects' other people they have to die before they come back right? But in 28days the bite simply sends you 'zombie-like' and you don't return from the dead as such? Am I right!? Lol... either way, love 28days later anyway!! I also love shaun of the dead, and Zombieland... but am biased on that one as I think Emma Stone is gorgeous!!
ps. Did that 'bath-salts' incident really happen? It came across as a bit of a 'urban legend' type story over here!? Couldn't quite work out whether it had actually taken place how I'd heard or if chinese whispers had turned it into some sort of close call zombie apocalypse!! lol
hehe I love this debate it's an on going thing at my house, LOL
imo 28 Days Later is an infection movie. They are not zombies, they are not dead, they ARE infected with the rage virus which makes people go all crazy "Imma rip ya ta shreds" kind of dealie.
Dawn of the Dead, yes, zombies. Recently dead coming back to life, "no more room in hell" all that jazz...
The argument here always starts with movies like Return of the Living Dead, were people are infected with trioxin and then their heart stops and become zombies... my loving husband constantly tells me that by my logic of 28days later being an infection movie so should this, but it's not because they are dead and they do in fact need brains plus I think he just likes pissing me off, LOL :0 ]
I also really hate fast moving zombies.... it makes no sense and dammit I want logic in my zombie movies!! ;0 P
PS 28 days later is still frickin awesome and I love the social commentary to it all. and I agree about Emma Stone totally girl crushing on her hell I almost watched the Help because of her and the amazing clothes
I saw the remake (never saw the original) I thought it was horrifically boring : ( which is funny becuase I love Amityville Horror and the Omen, two movies which most people say are incredibly slow, LOL different folks right, LOL
