This hair style requires no heat...only hairpins, a rat (optional), and your favorite hat or hair accessory. Your hair may not be the same length or texture as my hair, but you can still use this video as inspiration to create and tailor it to your hair.

I happened to find some at the 99cent store, but I have also seen them at Walgreen and Rite Aid. I have also been told that people have found Rats in Sally Beauty Supply. The one I used in this video, I had made myself before I actually found something comparable in stores. It's called the Bun Maker by Con Air. I will post another video about this because it is frequently asked.

You can also make one the old school way, by stuffing your own hair inside a hairnet. I lose a lot of hair so it took me about a month of collecting to have a big handful.
The down side is that it won't be as stiff as the type in the video. It also may be more "slippery" and needs to be more secured in place, the up side is that you can easily shape it thinner or thicker depending of the style you want (last week, I even made a bun maker by stuffing the hair inside a sheer sock and rolling it).
Plus, it matches your hair colour perfectly.;)

Be warned though that keeping a box of you own hair may raise funny questions and comments from occasional house guests, haha!

Another solution is to go buy a cheap bag of human hair to stuff into a stocking that matches your hair color. I would say synthetic hair is an even cheaper alternative, but keep in mind that synthetic hair fibers melts with heat. I think I should make another video to show the ones I make, I think I have figured out how to explain it in a more simpler way :) xoxo

I admit, I love these tutorials. I have 3C hair and retro styling can be difficult. I just wish I looked better with bangs.

Thanks for the upload.
