I have aunties who have had eyebrow tattoos, as unfortunately genetically our eyebrows finish just past the iris and therefor look like a really bad waxing.  They absolutely love it, however they are in their 50's/60's.  The only problem I see is that if you get them tattooed young, your face will naturally droop with age, as will the tattoo, so when you are 40 they will not be where you want them to be.

"your face will naturally droop with age" that is an excellent point that I don't think pops into most peoples heads right away when they think about this subject.

My friend's mum used to have hers done. They looked a funny purple colour and she had to keep tweezing out the hairs that grew back, always outside the tattooed line. When she decided she didn't want them any more (some twenty years down the track) they were an awful colour and she ended up having them dug out. I know that sounds extreme and painful but that's what happened. Ick.

Have you ever tried coloring your eyebrows darker? My hairdresser does that because hers grow in very blond, and coloring them darker works well for her. I feel like most of the tattooed eyebrows I've seen look really unnatural. They're not technically "permanent" though, unless you get them touched up. If you do end up getting them, do some real good research on who does the procedure.

This thread has me thinking its probably not a good idea :/ does anyone have any experience with tattooed eyeliner? Ive always considered that too. Curious if it has the same type of problems

Dont do it!!!!... The magic of make-up is that you can be who ever you want and wash it off and be someone else enjoy having a free clean face!!!

ok from the comments it looks like a lot of you think getting brows tattooed on is risky and doesn't look very good. first off you have to find a tattoo artist that does this procedure and find a good one! there are some that can do natural hair strokes so it looks like hair! i worked for kay davis who is an amazing artist that does this. she actually has people from all over the country come to get it done by her. if you are serious about it you can alway call her and ask her any questions about it and see if she knows anyone in your area that can do it that she recommends. good luck
