Hi ladies!

I recently posted in the swap & sell group and it got me thinking...

How do you do this whole swapping thing?

I know you send the money via paypal if you are buying/selling, but if you decide to swap with someone, how can you be sure they have actually sent the package? At what point do you send yours?

I know a lot of you have experience in this area so I thought I would ask! I would love to hear about your past experiences with the swap and sell board. :)

Thanks!!

PS-

Here is my post... If anyone is interested ;)

I haven't swapped yet either and am really interested to know how it works too

I've not swapped yet, but I would send my package by recorded post so it could be tracked, and provide the tracking number to the recipient; and I'd ask that she do the same too :)

I think that eventually you just have to trust the other person.

I have bought from someone before. It's all down to trust and finding out what you can about the other person. I couldn't find any feedback about the person I had bought from but asked someone else that had and found it was all good to go. And it was!

But I have heard of cases where people repeatedly scam others on the PUG page. Keep your wits about you.

I have never swapped but I have bought items from gals here and I have had no complaints, they have all shipped the items quickly and emailed me the tracking number and all I items I have bought have been in great condition.

Thanks ladies! Anna, that's exactly what I'm concerned about.
I appreciate all of your feedback! It sounds like it comes down to a case by case thing so I will just have to wait and see what happens. Of course, first someone would actually have to be interested in my posts lol

Brandi, thanks for the group link! Yeah, it doesn't appear to have been updated for a while... I think we should make that an active board :). Especially if someone turns out to be a fraud!

I've swapped with someone on the PUG Swap/Sell FB page and it did really come down to trust, but she was someone who is really active both on here and on the FB page and was a great communicator so that really helped me feel confident swapping with her. I just massaged her with a swap proposition and she got back to me saying she was interested and loved swapping, so we just hammered out details from there and sent our packages and gave each other the tracking numbers. It went really smoothly and worked out really well, so I'm a lot less hesitant about swapping now and will probably do it again in the future.

Anna,

Thank you for the info! That is all really helpful and good to know.
