Hey guys! It's me Tahitia and I wanted to start up a new thread on a few items from around the web that maybe we're hoping PUG will be able to stock in 2014.

Of course the powers at be at Pinup Girl Clothing have done an absolutely amazing job for 15 years so whatever 2014 does have in store I'm sure it's going to be awesome and that we'll just love what they have to offer.

Seriously guys, keep doing what you've been doing all along and you're going to have an awesome year ahead.

So with that said here are a few ideas of mine for specific items and or entire brands that I'm hoping PUG stocks in the year ahead.

1940's Dance Hall Dresses

These are the kind of dresses that you would have seen girls wearing for a night out at the neighbourhood dance hall on a Saturday night.

These are a couple dresses that Tara Starlet was selling a little more than a year ago and although I have absolutely no research and data to back this up I'm positive that there'd be a huge demand for dresses like these. They're actually not all that different from the Colette Dress's so PUG's already had experience in selling these before.

Fingers crossed :)

An Ultra High-Waisted Strapless Vintage Swimsuit

Again this is entirely something of my own wanting but again I'm positive that this is a design that PUG would have ZERO trouble selling out in a heartbeat.

A VERY high waisted strapless swimsuit, whether it's in solid or pattern (I think I'd prefer a beautiful blue like our illustrated friend is sporting but PUG's always had some awesome patterns in the past for swimwear).

Now to be honest I think that you could even go higher in the waist than in the illustration above. I'd be all for a pair of bottoms that went just a few inches shy of the top, which I guess would make it the exact opposite of a tankini from a few years ago wouldn't it? :)

What Katie Did

Okay now this one is pretty self explanitory ;) This year PUG added some great vintage lingerie to their catalogue and I think that What Katie Did could be a just as good addition, even if they only stocked one or two lines of theirs.

The picture above is from their Dot Lingerie line, that's just one line that I think would fit right in here on PUG.

So there you have it, just a few little ideas of mine for things that I think would fit in great here on Pinup Girl Clothing. Either way I just know that 2014 is going to be the best year ever for PUG and I can't wait to see what the powers at be have in store for us all!

Take care and hugs,

Tahitia :)

I'm still waiting on a vintage style skirt that's snug over the hips and waist and then flares out - the style wasn't extremely popular during the 50s but it was there and it's super cute. Kind of like a cross between a pencil and an a-line and perfect for everything.

White House Black Market has something similar but it's not quite long enough and it would be prettier without the seam

this one is an actual vintage 1940s model of what I'm talking about

the one in the middle

:)

pencil skirts are sexier, and swing skirts are more fun but a cute a-line is good for wearing anywhere. Only issue is that I guess this one is easy to make 'dowdy' if you wear it too loose or wear the wrong top/shoes but pair it with some cute heels, nude stockings, and a tight cardigan and you'll be turning heads :)

oh, and pockets would be amazing! I would kill to have hidden pockets in about 99% of my dresses

Yes I'm totally behind pockets too :)

Everything should have pockets. I used to have a pencil skirt with these amazing hidden pockets and I adored it. Sadly they take a lot of work to put into the design without making it look frumpy

that's pretty much what I was sharing, just the version before trumpets :D

Ooooh I would absolutely love to see something like this is stock Shy Anne! Awesome idea and thanks for the pics too :)

I got one similar to that from Austin Reed about 10 years ago. Cranberry cordoroy and still going strong. I doubt they still stock them though. It was long before I discovered vintage retro but you are right it is very flattering. So yep I would be keen on more of those.

I love the stories of us finding pinup products before we knew were even in love with the pinup look :)

So happy to hear that it's still going strong after 10 years Andrea :)

That's right Tahitia in those days it was so hit and miss finding flattering clothes.
I just want more Harrisons in different colours.

That's a good one Andrea! It's a cute top of PUG's and I'd definitely want to have a couple in different colours :)

I could always go for some new vamp tops too Brandi, maybe in some of the patters their bathing suits to have, like solid colours with white polka dots.

Awesome idea :)
