I’ve never been one for swing dresses. I’ve always felt either too dowdy or too much like a pretty princess 5 year old when trying them on.   Then I fell in love with the Atomic print on the Pinup Girl Ginger dress. It’s Judy Jetson and 1960’s house wife all wrapped up in one. When it was on sale for the Back to School promotion, I had to snatch it up despite my full skirt opposition.

I ordered the Medium with 37-28.5-38 measurements. It fit perfectly. Even my fiancé thought the dress was hot on.  (Always a big plus!)  The bodice has some stretch in it, so you may be able to size down if you are in between sizes. The Ginger emphasizes the waist quite nicely and the pleats are nicely done with not too much princess “poufiness.” The fabric is good quality with some thickness, but still cool enough for summer.  It comes with a black belt, but I like it without the belt.

With a 32G bra size, I chose to wear a halter bra underneath. The straps do not cover my bra in the front fully, so I had to fold the top of the bra to hide it. Although not ideal, that works just fine.  Also, the straps have a mind of their own since they are very long and thick. I’m thinking they might get softer with time and stop making an appearance in the middle of my head through my hair.

Whenever I wear this dress out, I get tons of compliments.  The bright green color might not be for everyone, but I love it.  I have about a dozen or so PUG dresses, and this is one of my favorites. I’ll admit it- This is a swing dress I don’t want to take off!  It may be the beginning of a new thing for me.

The Ginger Atomic print looks very pretty on you Crystal :D  Great choice too with going with the green one! It compliments your skin tone very nicely!  Thanks for including your bra size, which is a great help when wondering what size to go with.. I'm a 30G and sometimes wonder how certain things will fit or look like on me, good to know I would be OK with medium ... Great review! XX

No problem. I know, the girls are finicky about fitting, so it is super helpful to know bra sizes!

I LOVE the ginger. I have owned in almost every color (currently I have the coral) and its a wonderful, wearable dress! You look amazing in the green atomic print, thanks for your review!

Thank you! Ohh, the coral. I bet that is lovely too!

I have the Ginger Atomic Print in pink and it was my first PUG dress. I LOVE it and I get so many compliments on it - it's really dramatic but also just simple and retro.  You look lovely in the green.

Thanks so much! I'm so glad it is summer, and I can wear it. :)
