Hello there!

I would like to travel to Russia next November, and it will probably be in the -30s. I am only willing to go in winter however if I can get together a nice and pretty vintage style winter wardrobe (preferably PUG) to wear while I'm there. To me, looking good is just as important as being warm, and I find most practical winter clothing to be hideous. Luckily for me though, I live in Australia where it doesn't really get cold, so I don't even own any winter clothing!

I would love to know what PUG you ladies who live in cold climates wear throughout the winter so that I can make a shopping list of PUG items to get. I will be in Russia for at least a month, maybe two, and would love a wardrobe that I can mix up rather than just wearing a few things over and over again...

So, what are the long sleeved satin Birdie dresses like for warmness? And the Doris skirts? And those cute new sweaters that came out recently? Any trousers you could recommend? Pencil skirts?

I would really love to hear from you and your tips on how to dress vintage style in winter :)

I own several Doris skirts, the heavy weight is great because it's not likely to get blown up in the wind. They're a wardrobe staple and any sweater will do with them. Knowing how to layer is key - you can make a really cute and well put together outfit with several layers. Like wearing a cropped cardigan over a cute top tucked into an audrey skirt with colored tights and boots. Along with a hat, gloves, and a scarf :) Or you can hide layers, like wearing a thin sweater underneath the Haunted Housewife.

Ever follow Midnight Maniac's blog? Not sure if you've heard of her, but she seems to be a master at mixing and layering clothes. Here's an example.

Aww... Thanks for the shout out, doll!  Here is a better example: How to style summer dresses for winter.  I have a closet full of sleeveless dresses and I live in Wisconsin.  Not a good combination.  It gets pretty friggin' cold here in the winter, so I have had to learn how to layer.  With the addition of a few layering pieces, I bet you could take your PUG dresses with you Harlow and still be cute and cozy.

Cheers!
