I got a sample of the Too Faced BB cream a few weeks ago. My cheeks get really dry so I dab a little bit of light moisturizer on them, smooth on the BB cream and then a light layer of powder and I am set. I really love the Too Faced, it's a bit pricy at 32.00.

Hi Jennifer!

I use BB Cream and I like it a lot. It helps with fine lines, and can be worn alone or used as a base for foundation. Depending on your skin type you can use it in place of a moisturizer. If your skin is quite dry this may not be the case.

I pair it with a mineral powder founation and it covers most minor flaws. Much better than anything I have ever used. You can get almost an airbrushed look. I am a fan.

If you want to try it before committing pop into Sephora, and they can give you a little sample container.

Or you can visit your local drug store and try Garnier BB Cream. It is under $12 and it will last a long time.

Best of luck. I hope this helped.

I have oily skin, I found the Loreal BB cream very oily and didn't like it at all. Then I bought the Estee Lauder BB creme and it's very nice, even has shine control and spf 35. Not a whole lotta coverage though, more like a tinted moisturizer. And not cheap! I don't really use it consistently enough to comment on the benefits though!

I work for Lancome, and overall I'm not a fan of BB creams. It might sound bias, but Lancome is the best one I've come in contact with though. I prefer my normal stuff, but if you want to try a BB cream, the lancome one is called "Renergie Eclat" and it has a color correction. So, if you have a lot of red in your skin it will calm it down, or yellow. It does not have SPF, but it doesn't have the drag when you rub it in either, it absorbs better and feels better on your skin. It's also anti-aging, helps lift firn and helps the appearance of wrinkles and leaves you radiant.

But if you just want an awesome moisturizer, I just started using the Elizabeth Arden Prevage spf30. So far so good.

Love the Lancome tinted moisturizer Bienfait. I used to work for Lancome too and loved there prodcuts!! =)

Hey there!

I use two BB creams, the one from Garnier, and the Dior one.

Having a combination skin, i find the Dior one too greasy. On the other hand, the Garnier one, the new version that is oil free is amazing and matte. And at a very good price.

I also have the one from MAC. i like it, it is moisturizing and not very greasy.

All of them have an SPF from 15 to 25

I would recommend the Garnier one, but i would love to hear what the other ladies have to say about other ones.

I have the garnier one and i wear it on its own over moisturiser

thank you all! i will have to give one a try... i currently use eb5 as my moisturizer and make-up primer/base. it doesn't have spf, which is a bummer for me, because i love this moisturizer (despite it's price). i also use sensitive skin oil of olay (with the spf), which doesn't do the priming for me as the eb5 does. just read about the bb creams, although i've been hearing about them for a while now... so i'm thinking i should use the bb creams over my oil of olay, but not over the eb5, which really hydrates my skin (and i don't want to over hydrate and end up oily).

thanks again for all of the input... and sorry for the long drawn out convo - i don't have anyone to really talk to about it, and i have spent my youth/adult years slowly learning how to do things with make-up and skincare. REALLY APPRECIATE the conversation!!!

Jenn :)

I bought a Clinique bb cream a while back to see what all the fuss was about, and I'm kind of on the fence about them. I can use it as a base or on its own, but then again, I can do the same thing with my Tarte tinted moisturizer. I typically moisturize, apply the bb cream, and then either touch up with concealer or foundation on areas that need work, or just add the rest of my makeup and go. Honestly, I haven't noticed any improvement in my bare skin that makes this worth the considerable price.

What is a BB cream?

BB cream is like a moisturizer/primer/light foundation all in one.

The best BB creams are by Korean brands Skin79 and Missha. I really would not recommend western brands (Lancome etc) after using Korean BB creams. Korean women tend to take very good care of their skin and use BB creams as an enhancement to their already flawless clear natural skin, rather than wear a lot of foundation.

You can either use it as a base under your foundation or build it up as a light foundation alone. Some BB creams do give more coverage than others. It's great for everyday as it feels super light on your skin. It does not have the coverage that foundation has but it has a lot of skin benefits, such as improving acne and your skintone. There are many types and shades to suit your skin type. I definitely suggest doing some research on the brands I have suggested. They're always available to purchase from ebay sellers and are affordable ($15-30). I have light skin and currently use "Skin 79 Hot Pink Super +"

Hope this helps!
